I went here and ordered a Leg, Thigh, and Wing at the drive-thru. I was asked whether I'd like white/dark meat. I said "white". When I got my order my 6th sense told me to stop in the parking lot and double check what's in the box. Sure enough my order was wrong. In the box was a thigh and two wings. I went back inside and ask politely "didn't I order a leg, thigh, and wing", the lady told me that legs were not available in white meat. Looks like she went ahead and gave me two wings without asking if that was ok.
These people are incompetent and non-native English speaking, making their communication skills on par with a smart Golden Retriever. There was a white lady there who spoke English natively but wasn't taking order on the drive-thru, WHY???? Why put the worst people on the drive-thru?
"Sir, legs are not available in white meat, would you like me to substitute a wing for you? Or would you prefer to get your leg in dark meat?"
Is it so hard to say the above? Yes it is if you are poorly trained, don't care about your job, and are a bad communicator because you don't speak the English language Natively
This is not the first time they got my order wrong. Why does it happen you ask? Because they hire people who don't speak English as a first language. There used to be a time in this country when the minimum wage jobs were held by young kids (teenagers) who didn't have the skills to be paid more but wanted their first job. Today these jobs are held by people as a career. That is also part of the problem. And yes this is related to my chicken order being wrong :)
I would not recommend this place to anyone. This will be my last time going there as well.
How was the situation handled? I forgot to mention above, well basically she told me that what I wanted wasn't available in white meat then walked away, I just stood there, no one cared about my issue or trying to make the situation right.I stood there staring the menu and the other lady addressed me and I asked her how much a leg was. I ordered it and paid for it.
Again, this will be my last time going there and I'll be calling the company to complain. This is not the way to handle an order, you ALWAYS let the customer know if you can't fill their order the way they want ALWAYS! Pathetic excuse for an employee and human being, in Japan when they dishonor themselves like this...well you know...
Just makes me so mad. Again, I will never go here again, I've been going there occasionally for 10yrs, but in the last 2yrs this same lady got my order wrong twice.

Read moreThis location at one point was wonderful. This is our second time visiting in the last 2 weeks. Once before in the evening through the drive-thru and the the young lady who took our order was very rude and almost insisted that we couldn’t order what we wanted on the menu because it would take a certain amount of time for it to be prepared, in which we had no problem waiting but it was clear that they wanted to only serve what was already prepared and we could most definitely try to understand if it was maybe 5 minutes until closing but that wasn’t the case at all. In fact they wouldn’t be closing for another hour and a half. When we ask to speak to the Manager she was even more unprofessional than the other young lady in fact she said that the cashier was her daughter. Whatever happened to not having family manage other family members. Clear conflicts in interest and business. Then we visited again during the day, the outside parking lot was filled trash and the garbage cans were overflowing. That alone should have made us not want to come in but we did go inside and the restaurant was filled with employees yet not one person greeted us or acknowledge and said someone will be with you. After waiting for five minutes the young man who was in the parking lot working on his car (on the company’s time) came inside and then took our order. It’s almost like this is a Popeyes/Auto Shop because then we witnessed the cook go outside in the middle of cooking and then went to work on the car and then come back in and proceeded to finishing cooking. Disgusting! We felt like we were in the complete ghetto. We will never visit this...
Read moreTo Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an unpleasant experience I encountered at the Popeyes Chicken in my neighborhood. I have lived in the Lisle area for over eight years and have always been a considerate resident. However, on [September 22, 2024], at approximately 4:30 PM, I placed an order and proceeded to the drive-thru window to pay. After receiving my drink, my son tasted it and immediately mentioned that it was not sweet. I politely asked the staff member, Fernando, if I could exchange the drink, but he refused, stating that it would cost extra. I had no issue paying the difference, but he declined again and told me to "just drink it."
As a regular customer who is familiar with Fernando, I found this response shocking and unacceptable. Although we have enjoyed Popeyes in the past, the poor service I received during this visit has made me reconsider returning. Over time, I have noticed a decline in both food quality and customer service at this location, with Fernando’s behavior being a clear example. I have also witnessed him treating other customers disrespectfully, which is disheartening, especially coming from someone in a management role.
To address this matter, I am sharing a video of the incident and will be filing additional complaints with the County of DuPage and the State of Illinois. I believe this situation reflects a failure in management and is entirely unacceptable. I am not seeking a free meal but request that appropriate action be taken to address this situation.
Thank you for your attention to...
