So in my search for a good mexican place in MN I stopped here when heading back from a camp. The staff was friendly and does look to be family run. They do provide chips and salsa at no cost. Unfortunately though the food wasn't what I would hope for in authentic Mexican food (growing up in SoCal and living in CO for 19 years). Ordered El pastor tacos and a kids beef burrito. The El Pastor tacos we a good portion with three but needed some spice and/or pineapple. The kids beef burrito was missing any spice, tasted like just ground beef and the red sauce didn't have much flavor. The refried beans needed salt which I cannot recall having to ever do before. Very over priced for the serving sizes and the service was terrible! We waited 10 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted anything to drink. Then we ordered, got our food, and never saw the waitress again. I finally asked another waiter for some glasses of water, which we never did get, and the waitress showed up several minutes later (15+ minutes) and handed us our bill and that was it. No water and she never asked if we needed anything else so I had to grab her attention as she was walking away to ask for some boxes. Don't waste your time and especially your money!! Food was amazing! Tasted authentically Mexican (to me at least) without being too spicy for my incredibly bland/Minnesotan/Scandinavian palate. I do wish that the portion for the food I ordered (steak fajita quesadilla) was a little larger as I left still a little hungry, but it tasted amazing! Food was served very hot. Our waiter was super kind and encouraged use to try the Spanish pronunciation even though none of us had taken Spanish. He was also funny and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
