Pros : Great local place for breakfast. Usually available seating. You get a friendly hello and goodbye every time you come and go. The selection of food is simple and tasty. Attentive staff of what seems to be locals and some teenagers. The bathroom is clean . Family friendly. I had the mystic omelette, I would highly suggest. They have a selection of take out , already made food in the front which is convenient. Nice environment, gives that old-school family run business vibe , that I'm fond of. Cons : parking is small butt if you go early enough it's fine. Bathroom is clean , but very small, so not a place to change a diaper or things like that . They give two Total options , one for cash and credit. Almost like you see at some gas stations. Not a fan of that , but if you get past that , prices are pretty fair.
All and all , I would highly recommend going here . Very Jersey diner. I'm Beef and that's...
Read moreWaited a long time before pulling the trigger on writing a review bc everyone has a bad day or something going on but its been the same time and time again. Food is delicious and the restaurant itself is clean and average for your small business eatery. No problems there. My biggest complaint comes from who I would assume is the most senior waitress. Lack of hygiene while rolling silverware with hands all over the utensils and no washing of hands if tasks are handled while rolling. Quick to take order and drop the bill but zero service in between. Its sad that another server refills your coffee a couple times before the other even asks. Their overall attitude and inability to refrain from airing out personal complaints, conversations and other unwanted gestures behind the counter is disturbing. Behind the counter and where people are eating, just isnt the place. If it were just her there, I wouldnt...
Read moreGreat diner , just like you would expect it to be. Everyone knows everyone, so there is a lot of local conversation going on. Great food, nice selections, good prices and hearty portions. Large menu compared to most and has daily specials that are a great value. My husband, who is very picky, raves about their Manhattan Clam Chowder, and I find the Chicken Orzo to be quite tasty as well. Closes at 3 daily, so make sure you get in by two so you can eat and enjoy your food without needing to rush. Coffee is always fresh and replenished often as they have someone circling the room with the pot in his hand so you won't have to wait. Located in a strip mall type setting, the tourists have yet to discover its location, but the locals know a great place and it's always crowded. Try it out, you won't be...
