Upon my arrival for my 6:30pm pick up order, I was met with a rude older woman and a very unconcerned underaged child as my customer service representatives. I waited 5-10 minutes more than u should've because the underage child couldn't seem to read or recognize my order. Eventually, I received my food and departed Sam's Southtern Eatery around 6:43-6:45pm. As I traveled down i-30 west, I decided to try some of my food. Around 6:50pm, I ate most of my shrimp pieces, then proceeded to take a bite from a chicken tender. It started tasting extremely funky, so I spat a piece out. As I pull it out of my mouth I discovered the tender had a green-grey color inside of the tender. So, I immediately turned around at the 126 Alexander exit to return to Sam's Southern Eatery. As I returned to the establishment with the food, I requested the highest management available,ย but I was met by the customer service representative from earlier. As I expressed my concern of possible food poisoning to her,ย she responded with the most unconcerned demeanor. The cooks offered to make more food but there was no refund, so I waited patiently for the "replacement". As I waited, the customer service representative continued to make uncomfortable eye contact with me. Once, my food came back, she pushed it in the counter then looked at me as if I did something wrong. As I exited, I let the staff personnel in the kitchen know that I was going to report them. In return, I received very aggressive looks, so I contacted their corporate office whom I have not received a follow up from. I am disgusted, hurt and overall disappointed being a continuous customer there for the last 2 years. I will not be returning to any Sam's Southern...
ย ย ย Read moreUpdate: You are better off eating at the restaurant bc if anything is missing from your $50 order, oh well. They are uncooperative in rectifying Their mistake.Something as simple as 2 orders of French fries dropped their rating way down for us. From the lack of desire to make it right to the attitude given when discussing the problem. Very rude. In the restaurant,it appeared to be 2 friendly ladies working the front of house. The phone conversation proved otherwise. They may have been females, but they very friendly. Not to mention the quality of food (just the general flavor of some of the side items offered has declined since our first few visits. Wouldn't even be an issue or mentioned if it wasn't for the rudeness over missing fries.
Service was ten stars. The waitress couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. She anticipated our needs so there was nothing we had to ask or wait forever for. Food was quick enough and extremely Hot. Plenty of food for the price also! Just a great experience all the way around!! Update: Previous waitress must not work there anymore. Service is still decent, food mostly great. One or 2 sides don't seem to be as flavorful, but you still get plenty for the price. One of the few places that will let you order online and pay for it in store when...
ย ย ย Read moreWe just came back from eating at Sams Southern Eatery. We stumbled upon it when looking for a place to eat. We are from the Kansas City area staying in Little Rock tonight on our way to New Orleans. Sams food is some of the best I have had in a very long time. They really take pride in what they serve. I had the chicken tenders (delicious), okra that was cooked to perfection. Mac& Cheese was very good. My husband had the fried chicken wings, red beans & rice and also Okra. We wanted to try the chicken gizzards so we ordered a half order. These were the best gizzards I have ever had. All in all this was an excellent dining experience and everyone working there was so pleasant. If you decide to give Sams a try, I know you will not be disappointed. Everything that was coming out to other tables looked so good. I saw plates of catfish being delivered to the table behind us and it looked so good. This place is 5 star all the way. ...
