I had dinner here recently and it was ok but needs some tweaking. I ordered this dish (forgot the name) that's basically grilled steak strips with veggies over rice and drizzled with queso. A similar dish to what I've tried at many other Mexican places. It had a good flavor but the problem was the thickness of the queso. Other restaurants use a very thin queso for this dish so you taste it but don't really see it. This place is the opposite. It was queso overkill and when I say good flavor I mean the parts not drenched in queso. They should thin that down or use less. I also got 2 asada tacos which were very good. They had plenty of meat but were a bit pricey at 3 bucks a pop. The service was ok but could've been better. The place wasn't busy at all but the server seemed preoccupied with another table for a bit too long. Not a deal breaker but just an observation. I may come back and try another dish and maybe even splurge on a...
Read moreThis was my first time ever eating here and we went on a whim. I cannot understate how disappointed I was that this place has been right here and I haven't been! The place is small (which I really love), the staff was fantastic and the food was absolutely exceptional! I plan on taking my entire family this weekend!
Update (10/27/2025): This place has been, and continues to be, amazing. This is a regular, at least once per month, destination for myself and my family. The staff have become like family and the food is simply amazing. This is the only Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at, in my entire life, where throwing cheese dip on top of whatever you order is not required. They really have great products and KNOW how to cook...
Read moreEl Alamo Mexican Grill is one of my favorite local spots—their street tacos are seriously some of the best around. The family that runs it is always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Their cheese dip is delicious, perfect for pairing with chips or drizzling over your tacos. I love that they offer 10% off fries on Fridays and 10% off tacos on Taco Tuesday—it’s a nice little bonus on top of already great food. I always look forward to going here whenever I can. The only downside is they don’t stay open later, which makes me a little sad since I work nights and often miss out. Still, it’s worth making the time to stop by. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality, affordable Mexican food with...
