What a great name for a hot dog joint!

I learned about Harley’s from one local top ten list or another. That’s what I told Ed, the owner/manager/chef, when he asked how I heard about his place. Ed then happily reeled off a number of awards and important notices his place has received. There were so many that I could not keep track of them all! Still, Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs has received national attention and their dogs seemed only okay to me. I kept my own counsel about that!

I ordered Ed’s version of a Coney Island – it was a rather deluxe version called the Chili Pie Dog. The menu describes it as a “juicy 100% Kosher Beef Dog slathered in homemade chili, jalapeño, melted cheese and Fritos on a toasted Everything bun.” It was served wide open, with lots and lots of chili and cheese; the few Fritos were a kind of garnish on top. It tasted great! I’m glad the bun was toasted, as it kept the overflowing ingredients somewhat contained. The fries were extraordinarily good.

“We’re about 90% homemade,” Ed told me. He was proud of his fries, and said they took lots of R & D to get just right. A small complaint: ketchup is served in little paper cups, only a bit bigger than a thimbleful. There should be bottles of ketchup (and perhaps other condiments) available at every table.

I liked the quirky ambience of Harley’s – lots of decals, funny signs, and bunches of napkins on the wall illustrated with customers’ cartoons and drawings. Ed was outgoing and energetic, jovial and sarcastic. It was a fun visit, and the dog and fries were great. If I lived closer, I’d go down the menu, trying...

I was lucky enough to find this hidden gem in the lower Denver area while at the laundry mat washing my confiteor. I was waiting for it to finish washing and decided to walk and see what lunch spots are in the culdesac. I seen a sign for Pho, and was like yum. While walking by back in the corner I seen a sign for a hotdog revolution. Hadn't had a hot dog in months since I'm on a diet and decided to sneak in. I went in was greeted with a friendly smile by a young girl. She told me her specials that sounded amazing and wanted to order them all but decided on the pizza dog. She took my order and I had the pizza dog and a regular dog with ketchup and relish since it's a classic to really judge how good it is. Let me tell you with both dogs fries and a drink I was under 15$. I order two thinking eh hotdogs don't fill you up boy was I wrong. I had one bite of the regular and dove directly into the pizza dog. Probably one of the best hotdogs I have had and this comes from someone who travels the country every month for business and always ate out pre Covid every night. I recommend this to place to anyone looking for a good fast afford lunch or dinner. Plus it's locally owned so your helping local people! 10/10 Make sure to mention how much toppings you want (if you don't like lots of ketchup and only want a little) because it comes loaded! You will be licking your figures and be glad you stopped in like I was...

What an Amazing Find in Littleton, Colorado! Thanks to Yelp!, which is weird, cause I typically use Google Reviews exclusively. However there is some funny business going on with Google in NOT posting a review when it is less than 5 Stars, if anyone knows a way to fix that, let me know. Also, why they have a 5 Star on Yelp! And Not on Google, is rather upsetting to me. In fact apparently Kevin and Ricardo who gave one star reviews need to suck it up and get a life!! Did you Not see 'Sarcasm' Everywhere in the restaurant? Do me a favor, Boys! Man Up and Go Update your reviews to 5 Stars. I understand you can't please everyone, but seriously!!!

Anyway, On to the review! The food is Legendary here at Harley's, the Decor is Amazing (just check out the pics), but what made our dining experience Epic, was Lindsey!! She is One Amazing Woman and Employee. Her recommendations were On Point!! In all honesty, I don't think there is Anything that isn't good on the menu at Harley's!! Give them a Try and be prepared to have Your taste buds go KRAZZZZY!! You haven't lived till you try Harley's a Hot Dog Revolution! Please don't think they just have Hot Dogs. The sarcastic decor throughout this Amazing Joint will put a Smile on Your Face!!

P.S. Lindsey, Don't forget to hit up Jim, k? He WILL make Your Dreams...

Harley's is an amazing place. I am a huge supporter of non-chain places and this place is next to one of my jobs. After listening to a review podcast my husband decided to look for a hot dog place and this place came up. We got excited as there was even vegetarian options. The food was phenomenal! You could taste how fresh and homemade everything was. My husband's face really said it all when he ate the pulled pork dog. He's really critical about meats and he was stunned with the quality. I had the Spicy Buddha and I instantly know we would be making this place a regular. We met the owner and we laughed together over the one star review on Yelp. He's such a sweet and fun guy. You can really tell that he cares about his restaurant and his daughter who helps out. I have to say what really shocked me is that they have mobile ordering. I haven't seen that with small independent places. Finally, the signs and decor is amazing. We had a lot of fun looking at everything while our order was made. I don't think you even have to be a real hot dog fan to enjoy the food here as it's nothing compared to what you get out of a package or even a barbeque. Please check it out!
