The positive: This shop had a great selection of stones/crystals. All displayed beautifully. The negative: I went in with the intention of finding one piece that brought me joy to have on my desk at work. I found a pendant with the crystal I like but wanted to find it in an obelisk shape. My friend went to the front to ask for assistance in finding this particular piece. We were approached by an enthusiastic store representative, at first she was interesting to be around as she waved incense around my friend and more or less gave us a reading of each of us, that we didn’t ask for, but were not opposed as what she said coincided with our personalities and environment. This young lady was then telling me what I absolutely needed to improve my life. She was pushy and didn’t really listen to what I was specifically wanted. Instead she started gathering a bunch of crystals of various sizes which were way beyond my buying budget. I finally had to say I can’t get all of this and she forcibly said “Don’t you want to get better?” I said that I do not doubt what she is suggesting would be beneficial but I am on a budget and I don’t want to overload my luggage flying back home. She said well you should absolutely get this citrine crystal. I didn’t know how to say “no.” I ended up buying the citrine crystal, but I did feel bullied into it. I have to give this lady props for being a pushy salesperson. She could sell cars. Then when checking out you get the option to leave a tip. This is not a restaurant! What shocked me most about this is her saying to my friend and I when we were initially approached by her that she sold $5,000 of crystal recently to a customer. She was very knowledgeable and had a great energy initially but half way through I felt stressed. I did end up buying the citrine crystal which I didn’t want but did not have the energy to fight it. I do recommend going to this shop but be very clear on your intentions as to what you are interested in when approached by the staff. ...
Read moreI normally dont post reviews unless they are bad experiences or to warn everyone else. This store is fantastic if you are into crystals or starting your spiritual journey. Crystal and Raven are awesome guides and knowledgeable concerning both areas. That has not changed. I am a regular and have spent hundreds in not thousands at this location trying to further my spiritual journey. My past 2 visits were unfortunately extremely bad. Bad enough to look elsewhere and let this store be about money instead of education and enlightenment. As i stated earlier crystal is awesome and knows her stuff. This second gentleman who was rude, disrespectful, acted as if he was being inconvenienced, and treated myself and one other as we had done something wrong (didnt matter that i had spent over hundred dollars on both occasions). It was like he hounded the people he didnt like and humbled himself to the people he did like. At least that was the impression i got from him. Tall man, long brown/blond hair, beard. I am not going to go into details here about what happened and am willing to talk to management about it but guy was excuse my verbage an asshole and his negative attitude doesnt belong in a shop that promotes and advertises a positive spiritual experience.
In response, if your manager had identified himself and wasn't being as i stated things would have been different. Also, it doesnt explain his behavior the 2 times prior to today. Since this has become a...
Read moreIf you have a stroller/child, you aren't welcome to shop here. We came in and within 30 seconds, we were told by a lady who worked there that the shop wasn't "stroller friendly" because "children like to grab things". We said that we keep a close watch on our child anywhere we go, and we were told that in order to shop there, one of us would have to stay outside with our child/stroller while the other shopped, and then we could switch. We thought this was bizarre, as we have shopped here a lot before with our child in the stroller, and had no prior issues going in and shopping. We immediately left, and don't think we'll be back as a result.
There is also no notice on the door regarding strollers not being allowed inside.
So, if you're a single parent out for the day, be warned that you won't be allowed in at all any longer.
This used to be a great and very welcoming place, so we're bummed!
If you want a fantastic rock shop with in-house experts of minerals, fossils, and meteorites, go to Lithos in Arvada! They're incredibly nice and knowledgeable, as well as kid-friendly! They even have an entire area dedicated to children (which includes tons of minerals, fossils, books, and information!), and love seeing kiddos...
