The View Restaurant & Bar (at Chaminade Resort & Spa) — Restaurant in Live Oak

We had an amazing time at The View. After a long day, we were debating between ordering room service or eating at the restaurant. Our server Anthony and team provided a wonderful dining experience which made me glad we chose to eat at the restaurant. They were very accommodating when we asked to be seated on the patio. We were offered many heat lamps to brave the brisk air as we watched the sunset. The shaded patio also provided relief against a brief rain.

We ordered the dog burger patty for our little corgi. It was a huge portion size suitable for a much larger breed. It was a great value considering the quality of the meat. We were also able to customize the doneness! Our pup loved it and inhaled the ground beef and rice leaving the plate clean. We appreciated that they also offered her a fresh water bowl.

I ordered the Maine lobster with gnocchi. There was no shortage of lobster! I was able to construct a perfect bite for the whole entree.

We had a perfect ending to the meal with a warm sticky toffee cake a la mode to share. It’s been years since we could find a a restaurant that could match the texture and flavors from the legendary Westside Tavern that was in LA. It’s been 15 minutes now and I am debating if I should order another.

Wow terrible. First of all emo kid rushing by the front told me 20 minute wait when I could see four tables open at 830pm. He dissapears. Girl walks up within five minutes giggling confused took a while took gain composure led us to our table, one of the open ones. Guy takes drink orders margarita was terrible. My ladies vodka drink was better asked for the same and they made it different and terrible. Waited 15min to order then. Order then wait an hour and 15 minutes for my food. Only 4- 6 other small groups in restraunt. Food comes 1030pm steak is burnt no flavor splash of BBQ sauce and green beans partially cooked on the side with cut up potatoes both also bland on the menu it said ribeye with mashed potatoes and vegetables this was green beans and cut friend potatoes and a burnt steak. BTW to the chefs you guys are the worst and don't deserve to work at such a beautiful place This restaurant should be ashamed of itself. The waiter said one person got their lasagna still partially frozen. For one y'all are selling premade frozen lasagna gross and it was still frozen this is despicable how is this restaurant allowed to operate at a place like this I'm appalled it's like Denny's.
