There is no choice but to choose one star ..my husband and I came around 3 am entering this place we were not greeted and seated ourselves after waiting several minutes the waitress was. Invaded in her own conversation with the cook thwn after after 5 mintues age came over not saying her name or welcoming she simply asjed if we needed menu.my husband and I just looked at each other then she comes back askes drinks and returing with them in to go cups and stated she got confused withthe to go order she was conversating with mind you there were a total of 3 people in building my husband placed order then I placed mine the food came some if it my husband waited for toast that the cook thouht he put in my husband eggs was over cooked his bacon as well besides toast was cold and then the misding waffle which the cook or waitress coukdnt remember if it was called nor coukd she find ticket as she said in laughing manner my husband and I tried to pick through our food but shocked by the conversation of other employees and the workings of waffle house and how she couldn't wait for her cover shift to come in oh back to the waffle that now I had to remind her of it finally came and my husband stared at it for 20 minutes since there was no syrup and the waitress had another table to attend to which kept her attention for over 20 minutes. I woukd say my husband through irritation finished his edible food glad he didn't choke since his drink remained empty she finally came over I asked for syrup since she was not hesitate to drop the ticket I said we need syrup for cold waffle which she replaced ..good for her...by that time we lost appetite ...my husband and I will keep our weekly visits to waffle house in lakecity I recommend others...
Read moreMy experiences here in the past haven't been the best. My first time I ate here back in 2009, this one server was too busy talking about prison life and getting out. My husband and I were like okay....So we waited until she was done talking and hoping she would get to doing her job and wait on us. Which she did after she was done gossiping which we heard every word since we were sitting right beside them. So back in 2016 we had a sudden death in the family. My brother decided breakfast before the funeral and picked Waffle House to make it easy. There were 8 adults and 3 children. He even talked to the server before to make sure it would be okay. 3 booths and some sitting at the counter where our booths were. The orders were all messed up but we decided to let it go. My brother ordered some more stuff for the kids as the orders were messed up. He thinks the server was frustrated but he had paid as soon as the check came and actually left $50 for the tip. The server never came back, she took a break. He called the manager over and told him that for 1, the orders were all messed up, we let it go and he just ordered some extra breakfast meat for the kids. He said he had paid as soon as the check came out, left a $50 tip and the server just left without saying anything to him. I guess it was overwhelming and she went on break. We had no refills and some other issues. The manager was apologetic and we get how overwhelming it can get. Don't just walk out. My brother told the manager to make sure that this other server got half of that tip because she was doing our server's job. He made sure to make it clear we wanted her getting half of the tip. I am willing to give it another try sometime but I sure hope...
Read moreI hadn't been here in a few months. I wasn't planning on returning due to my last visit. However I went and the service along with the overall atmosphere was worst than last time!!! The waitress, servers, and manager were arguing, yelling across the customers. And that's not including the orders they have to call out. Tracy was my server and appears to be the mouthy trouble maker there. She raised her voice at me and started being argumentative because I made her aware of the fact that, 3 sets of customers came after me. And they all got their food orders out before I did. Due to Tracy running around tending to Lauren and everyone's elses business. I had contemplated leaving several times as I patiently waited. So I made her aware that what she was doing was unprofessional. And I was in no mood to argue. She was even yelling out Mr. Ray who was apparently a regular customer. Because he was trying to calm her down. I had to ask for my order to be taken, and repeatedly ask for my coffee to be refilled. I had to clutch my pearls several times while there. Tracy has to be bi-polar or something I asked for a manager when I checked out, so I could give feedback. However he was cooking and very busy. This is very much a hostile work environment. So of course I am leaving this review to warn others. The food was good, but the service and atmosphere was trash! I still left a small tip off the strength of my being a...
