Jake's Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Livermore

Personally I do not recommend this establishment, I do not believe that this place is worth the price 🤷🏻‍♀️. In general Jake was not welcoming what’s so ever, you would think that you would be greeted with a smile and invited in but it was the exact opposite of this. When it comes to the food the flavor for some dishes and might I say lack there of in others was just way off. Some food like the eggs (to the breakfast platter) and patty (to my hamburger) just had no flavor at all; and then the bread to the hamburger I got was weirdly sweet so it really just tasted like I was eating sweet bread with flavorless condiments. People ever pay attention how workers in the cafes prepare your food? Well let me tell you this place wear no gloves touches your food with bare hands and wipe their hand over their clothes and touch your food again I think it’s quite disgusting. Professional places wear gloves and wash hands often. It’s a new law that states workers must wear gloves and use proper hand washing. I would never wish anyone to get poisoned or get sick because someone is careless. Now a days a lot of people out there are germophobic including myself and if this place wishes to pay my medical bills they are more than welcome. The food was good and reasonably priced. Our party had: omelets, breakfast sandwich melts, chicken salads, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and chiliquelas. Everything was good or excellent. The fried eggs on the chiliquelas that my buddy ordered looked excellent and perfectly cooked, and the green chili sauce was very good. The one complaint I have is that the salads were overdressed so you might want to request dressing on the side. The coffee was also quite good and unlimited. The staff was very friendly.
