Ofelia’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Livermore

I was a little early going out to Altamont so I made a detour to Ofelia's Kitchen to snag perhaps the best deli sandwich between here and there. It was Tink Errdodel from the WNE&P that called and wanted me to come up with a device that'll keep the hawks and eagles away from their wind turbines. They've got 4 golden eagles and dozens of hawks in the past 3 months, and that's not acceptable. Well, I told I'd have a prototype for him tomorrow, so here I am killing time, and having an Amazing lunch at Ofelia's Kitchen. All I did was use the same principle of the dog whistle, each one is tuned to a different pitch, that's to high for the human ear. I attached them to two of the rotor blades, and every bird and rodent couldn't get away fast enough! And all I could think about was that sandwich from Ofelia's Kitchen! 5 stars all day...

I was impressed by a couple things here. First, homemade bread. This is definitely a plus and you can really tell that it hasn't been sitting on a shelf somewhere for a week. The vegetarian options and the sheer amount of green he is staggering. They certainly don't skimp on the greens here. But I wasn't really in the mood for rabbit food so I looked over the menu and was happy to see their are about as many meaty options as their are not. Overall pretty good. I will say the prices increased this year, but not terribly. Sad to see the portions have been impacted, although slight still noticeable. But the people who work there are always friendly. Nice local spot to sit outside and have a quick bite. I will say though that I've had good orders, great orders and bad orders- there's a huge inconsistency in the food being made. And I get the same order every time, so it's VERY noticeable when quality fluctuates. But overall as long as quality remains decent and prices don't increase more, I'm happy to return because the nice people and the atmosphere...
