After much deliberation I am finally redoing my review. Here is the key difference between Paris Bagutte (PB) , ordered cake on March 14th for a March 16th delivery and Tous Les Jours. (TLJ), Ordered cake on March 3rd for delivery on March 10th.
Both bakeries were given a simple custom cake order to change the color to sky blue, both were shown photos of what color we wanted. Both bakeries got it wrong.
On the day of delivery PB, called to check if we wanted to add any thing on cake in case if we forgot something. When we saw the cake was of wrong color and showed them the photo, they apologized, offered us something to drink and fixed the cake in 15 mins. We went back home happy.
Here is what TLJ did. I was told that I need to understand this is what sky blue/ light blue looks like, which was clearly “green color” When I told them this is not the color I showed them in photo. “ this is the closest we can get. The idea of the cake was to make it look like a sky. Even though she saw us being clearly upset, she just didn’t care. Forget about apologizing, she made it sound like I don’t know what sky blue should look like.
Even worse. When we said that this is birthday cake and that TLJ should have written “Happy Birthday (son). “You need to calm down!” Yeah you told us verbally but you didn’t give any name so we could not write anything. It is your responsibility to check what are we noting.” Lastly when I asked “can I take the cake now?” Her staff just gestured her hand as if I looking for some handout.
There is a clear difference in professionalism, customer service and basic courtesy between the two bakeries. And PB definitely deserves the higher price on...

Read moreI’ve had several disappointing experiences at the bakery on First Street in Livermore. In the afternoons, when they’re cleaning, they use strong-smelling chemicals like Fabuloso or Pine-Sol. The smell is so overpowering that sometimes the pastries even taste like the cleaning products. If you’re selling food items, you should avoid using such strong chemicals nearby to prevent cross-contamination.
When I’ve gone early in the morning, I’ve also noticed leftover pastries from the previous night being sold again. For the prices they charge, everything should be freshly made each day.
Most recently, I had a terrible experience with the cashier. The service was rude, and when I checked my receipt, I found that they had added a $98 tip for themselves—even though I had selected “No Tip.” When I pointed it out, the cashier was dismissive and didn’t apologize. The manager did process a refund, but she also failed to apologize or acknowledge the issue.
Overall, this place feels unprofessional and careless—both in service and food quality. I would rather drive 15 minutes to Dublin and find more fresh items with better...
