So on Monday evening March 18th I go in and order a four-piece steak finger combo. The price on the menu said $9.99. so when the cashier remind me up she said my order was $12 and some odd cents. I asked her what else was I getting. She said oh maam you are getting the four-piece steak finger combo. I asked her what was the difference in between $9.99 and $12 and something and she said, oh the prices went up today. So the prices went up but the menu amount still stayed the same. I got upset and walked away without an order. So within a couple of minutes later, I noticed a lady walking out of the restaurant that had come in behind me and she also left empty-handed. So I asked her why was she leaving empty-handed and her reply to me was she was wanting a small Sunday which was $7.49 and she asked them to put whip cream on the top and the Clerk told her there would be an additional $0.79. so she turned around and left as well. Whipped cream usually comes on a Sunday without any charge but not these days anymore. So within 4 to 5 minutes after I had walked out she walked out empty handed herself. That was two sales that were not made because of the negligence and the prices at dairy Queen is charging. I thought in my situation that dairy Queen should have honored the menu price. Read moreI have worked in a public service job on and off since I was 15yrs old . One of the worst mistakes an employee can do is fail to speak to customer as soon as they walk in the door of a business. Two reasons,I want to know someone is there to give service to me but also it lets me know someone is paying attention to the activity around them. When I was managing convenience stores verbal acknowledgement to someone entering the store was mandatory. Did not matter if you could not see them ..Let them know you knew they were there. Safety reasons. Last thought on this is a manager who is not visible to the public on a frequent occasion is managing nothing but the office wall .I have nothing against Young folks not they need to be...
