Ordered delivery. I ordered the eggs Benedict with lox but they called since there was no more hollandaise sauce. It was alright because there was another item on the menu I was interested in. So I ordered the Livingston omelette, Nutella stuffed French toast, and my boyfriend got a beef gyro. The gyro was delicious. His side of onion rings was alright until one of them had 3 layers of onion with the batter inside undercooked and tasted of raw flour still. The omelette was supposed to come with avocado and it didn’t which was disappointing. (It was just eggs with onion, cheese, and lox at that point). I’m having the French toast now hoping it’s alright and it’s ok so far until I bit into something hard. It turns out it’s a piece of what looks like wood. I wanted to like the place because the photos online looked good and they have a lot of food options I like. But the large menu immediately caused me to be suspicious. It seems they have too large of a variety of food options to make everything taste great. Instead I have an omelette missing avocado. A raw onion ring. My original order wasn’t even available because the lack of hollandaise sauce. And French toast with a piece of wood inside. Edit: I just changed my review to 1 star because I kept eating thinking that was the only wood. I didn’t want to waste my French toast. But I took another bite and within the dough was another piece of small wood. I had to literally spit my food out and find the piece. I work in the food industry. Specifically meal packaging and have to watch and make hundreds of meals. It’s unacceptable that whoever made this food is clearly not paying enough attention or care while preparing this food. There is a new photo of the smaller wood piece. The original wood piece is broken in half because I was confirming it was wood.

I had heard great things about this place from several people and had to try it. They were right, there were many dishes we wanted to try, and the ones we got were excellent. My daughter got the Short Hills Sandwich (Steak, fried eggs, sauteed onions & cheese). I got the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl (Quinoa brown rice, fresh sliced avocado, cucumber, carrots, soybeans, fresh scallion, fresh ginger, sesame seed - I said no to the avocado). It was too much food, and I couldn't finish it, but my daughter did that for me. The service was super nice. The place was very crowded and busy but they were keeping up. The place is kind of a small diner and a diner-like selection. I suspect they could do a lot more business with more space and parking. The image is of a watermelon radish, which they used as garnish on both our dishes. They have radish texture but only a faint radish taste. Very large, 5 or 6 cm.

I’ve actually never written an online restaurant review before, but my experience inspired me to leave a note here. First, my go-to sandwich, egg with meat and avocado, was a featured item on the menu. I was also pleasantly surprised to find 2 nondairy milk options (almond and oat) on the self-serve coffee station! The manager was also very on top of personally making sure everyone was being helped and appeared to be very kind and supportive of staff and overall operation. The cafe was busy but service was efficient and everyone was very kind and helpful. Oh yeah, the sandwich and coffee were both delicious! Perfect coffee temperature, avocado ripeness, and crispy bacon. Most importantly, the bagel was LEGIT!

50+ minute wait for three sandwiches and a smoothie. We went to Seymour's on a suggestion from a friend and I'm really hoping that this was one bad experience but it was pretty bad. However, since we don't live in the area, I don't know if we'll ever go back to try it again. Here is our experience. We tried to call twice to put in an order and no one answered. I attempted online ordering but couldn’t figure out how to add jelly to a PB sandwich so we decided to just order there. I walked into the store and placed my order at 11: 45 am: three sandwiches and a smoothie. We were on a car trip and my husband was in the car with my sleeping kids so I ran to the bathroom to maximize nap time. When I got back to wait in the crowded area by the door, the smoothie and PB&J were on the counter. I bought some of the prepackaged goods and cubed watermelon, which was amazing. I proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait. Other people came and went and, trying not to be obnoxious, I patiently waited. The super nice busboy gave me the wifi password and I continued to wait and move when people wanted coffee. I finally got frustrated and went up to the counter around 12:20 (I figured 35 minutes waiting for a deli order was excessive). A gentleman asked me what I ordered, the barista handed him my order, and several minutes later I was informed that they had given my order to someone else and would rush it. In the interim, my kids woke up. We walked out of there between 12:35 and 12:40, 50+ minutes later with barely an apology and no form of compensation. The PB&j had heaps of jelly falling out of it and wasn't cut. The side of chips for one of the sandwiches was missing. The smoothie was basically melted because it had been sitting for so long. The chicken Caesar wrap and pesto panini were delicious. The prepackaged pretzels we bought were stale. The kids were a mess in the car, having to spend a half an hour more in their car seats than originally planned. The sad part was that the deli wasn't even extraordinarily busy enough to account for a 50+ minute wait for a basic order. I don't know who's oversight caused this debacle but the to go area needs a...

Well this visit was a bummer , always had a good time but not sure what to call this late morning experience. Lots of floor staff with nothing to do I guess because not only did our eggs not come as ordered, asked for soft eggs got hard eggs, the omelette was eggs with cheese on top not mixed in the egg, the toast was hard ugh even though we were clear and explained a simple order. The real issue was maybe we were not welcome there as the two younger guys working the floor literally kept bugging us. Asking us if we were finished and there were still plenty of open seats and we were only there about 20 minutes still eating. It got so bad that within one minute, one guy asked if all was okay and literally walked away and the other guy who worked there, walked up and asked the same question. After 2 times if this it got a little testy because it was like can we finish eating pleaase. So not sure but this wasn't the usual good customer service and great food orders but out and out harassment to empty a table and no waiting customers. Sorry but bad rating especially since he had no problem asking for a tip at the end.

Previously was great. Located in Livingston, New Jersey Seymour's Cafe is the perfect way to start your day! Quick shout out, it was a great way and the place and breakfast...
