This was my first time at Calabria, and I drove 45 minutes specifically for the thin, crispy pizza that was rated 8.9 by Dave Portnoy. My four-star rating is for the pizza I ate only, and I can not speak for any of the other items on the menu. Portnoy has a distinct taste for the style of pizza that he likes, which is thin, crispy, a good homemade sauce, little to no flop, and a perfectly cooked under carriage. Portnoy only rated their plain cheese thin crispy pie that they specifically made for him, and it is now on their menu called "Calabria's Portnoy Crunchy Thin Pizza." This is the style of pizza I like as well, but I went with the "Calabria’s Mike’s Hot Honey Pepperoni Crunchy Thin Pizza." I called for pickup but decided to sit in their smaller dining room to eat. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The pizza came in a huge box, bigger than the average size large you'd get at any other pizzeria. Once I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was that it was cooked to perfection as in not sloppy, perfectly round, and the pepperoni was spread out pretty evenly. You can tell that they take pride in making their pizza and want to make sure the customer is satisfied with it. I picked up the first slice, and it had a little more flop than I'd like to see, and because of that, the cheese and pepperoni started to slide off the end of the slice but not by much though. Although on a few of the other slices, I had to use my other hand to stop the cheese and pepperoni from falling off the end. Not a super big deal, but it's the reason I gave four stars instead of five. Now that's explainable because of the grease that comes off the pepperoni when cooked and then dont forget about the Mikes hot honey, which adds more weight to the slice as well. I would recommend to the owner telling the cook to make the undercarriage crust just a little thicker for this reason. The overall undercarriage was cooked, good and crispy, but it could have been just a little bit more crispy in my opinion, but that's just me because I like pizza really crispy, and again just a little thicker because of the weight and grease from the pepperoni. It had a good amount of cheese, and the sauce had a nice taste to it, which brought everything together just perfectly. Would I come back for more and recommend the pizza to others? Yes, definitely! I would love to try some of the other pizzas. They have a big selection of different styles of thin, crispy pizza, and if that's not what you like, they make other pizzas that aren't thin and crispy. The prices for the pizza are a bit higher than most pizzeria's, so keep that in mind as well.

Was dealers choice for fathers day dinner and my pick was a long over due visit to Calabria's based on the social media hype. Wasnt sure how crazy it would be and called before hand and was told plenty of seating was available so we headed that way. When we arrived, learned there was a dining room / lounge area with a separate area for the Pizzeria. Wanting pizza, we headed towards the Pizzeria side. Definitely cashing in on the Portnoy 8.9 review with an overabundance of signs pasted both on the inside and outside of the pizzeria. As we walked in, the dinning room was suprpisingly empty and we sat right down. One pie would not have been enough so we ordered two pies. Favoring a thin crust, 1st pie was a no brainer and we ordered the Calabria Crunchy Thin and for comparison, we ordered thr regular house pie as well. We also started with some garlic knots. One of the bonuses to this place is the fact the Pizzeria also serves alcohol with a decent bar. Ended up with a Evil Genius Stacy's Mom Citra IPA which was a great start to fathers day dinner.. Garlic Knots came out first with plenty of time to munch before the pizza came out. The crunchy thin pizza was definitely thin and tasty but in my opinion the one served to me lacked that district crunch that so many raved about including Portnoy. The pizza was definitely a good pie and probably would have gotten a five start review, had it lived up to its reputation, however there was some flop to the pizza without that distinct crunch that I was so looking forward to. Despite the lack of crunch, I still devoured the pizza and had a really great Father's day meal. Overall it was a great meal. Our server was excellent, I forgot the name but he was the only server on fathers day around 5pm. The alcohol option was a nice bonus. The food was tasty and it really was a perfect meal. No doubt the Crunchy Thin pizza is to die for and will probably visit again and hopefully be able to change my rating.

Ultra thin pizzas are always such a crapshoot. Either they'll be so thin that slices flop hopelessly under its own weight, or the crust will taste more like tomato sauce and cheese on a cracker. But YouTube's famous pizza reviewer, Dave Portnoy, gave Calabria's thin pizza such an uncharacteristically high 8.9 that we had to find out for ourselves. (Note: the restaurant has since updated the menu and renamed it the 'Dave Portnoy Thin Pie'). In short, it's as good as advertised. I'm not sure what kind of wizardry goes into creating a crust that's thin, tasty, AND structurally stable enough to maintain its rigidity under a good layer of cheese, but that's precisely what we had here. I especially appreciated the shorn fresh basil on top of the pie. Our family also managed to polish off two other thin pies in record time - a Margherita and a white pie with so much garlic flavor that no amount of mints could disguise our postprandial breath (not that any of us were complaining). I wish I'd thought to capture a shot of the fried calamari, which are such an unsung hero on Calabria's menu. Here, they're meaty and lightly battered, with a surprising number of the leg pieces (not my usual preference, but they're done so well that I didn't mind). The restaurant is on the larger side, with two generously-sized dining spaces. Service was prompt, efficient, and courteous and our food came to the tables piping hot in under ten minutes. A stellar place for standup pizza!

My family used to order for delivery but after serveral deliveries gone wrong we decided to call in an order for pick up.I called tonight(which is a Friday) to place an order for several items I could tell the kid I was talking to must have been new so I had complete patience during this ordering process once I was done with everything I asked him to repeat the order back to me which he did and a 100% correct. My son and husband went to pick up the food and mostly everything was completely wrong order 2 slices he had 2 pies ordered a grilled chicken sandwich he had an eggplant parmigiana sandwich the owner or older guy that was there said “oh the screwed up again”. My husband and 6year old was patient while they corrected the ordered but by the time they got home everything was lukewarm, the whole point or ordering out is so you don’t have to do anything not the case tonight! I called Calabria’s an asked to speak to a manager I got a female on the phone that did not state her name so I made sure to ask I ended up speaking with Gabrielle. To make a long story short I explained what had happen explained we had issues in the past with deliveries so we decided to pick up and pretty much everything was still wrong there was basically a pushback from her saying they were training him it only took 3 minutes to correct (which it did not took longer they say they don’t prep food but apparently my grilled chicken was done in 3 minutes) there wasn’t a “im sorry what can we do” it was all about this is what we do no apologies. My suggestion to you is keep Gabrielle away from the phones dealing with customers and put somebody with a little more empathy on the phones to deal with customer complaints. We will not be ordering from...
