I've been desperately searching for real sushi in the area and unfortunately, this isn't it. The restaurant itself is very clean, with the ambiance more of a sports bar than a Japanese restaurant, If you are just into maki rolls, this place is fine. But if you are looking for authentic sushi/sashimi, the fish selection and quality is very underwhelming. The size of the sushi pieces are in fact too large (too much rice, overly thick fish) and devoid of flavor. Their service while nice, is clearly still new at this, and messed up my order, and didn't understand what was wrong even after I pointed the differences out on the menu compared to what I received. This place is fine for getting some eel avocado rolls for the kids, but you can skip if you're looking for anything authentic where sauce cannot mask the...

From the moment we walked in, everything about this place was exceptional. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a modern yet cozy vibe. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.

Now the sushi—wow. Every piece was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The tuna melted in my mouth, and the specialty rolls were creative without being overdone. You can really tell the chef takes pride in every detail.

We also tried the miso soup and seaweed salad to start—both perfect. And don’t even get me started on the matcha cheesecake for dessert. Absolutely divine.

If you’re looking for top-notch sushi with excellent service and atmosphere, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back again...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Akasaka, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best sushi spots I’ve experienced. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, modern, and inviting—perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out.

The service was outstanding—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and even offered great recommendations based on our taste preferences.

Now, the sushi. Every roll was a masterpiece—beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. You could tell the chefs take pride in their craft.

Overall, Akasaka delivers both quality and creativity in every bite. Whether you’re a sushi lover or trying it for the first time, this place won’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be...

Absolutely blown away by the food here! The chicken ramen soup was rich, flavorful, and comforting—perfectly seasoned with tender chicken and noodles cooked just right. I also had the fried cheese wontons, which were crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle—seriously addictive. The shrimp tempura roll and calamari tempura roll were both fresh, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. The house lomein was so good too!! Every bite was packed with flavor. Service was friendly and attentive too. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Okay I’d probably give this place 4.5 stars but that’s not an option on Google Maps. Food was very good fresh and flavorful. Got the hibachi chicken lunch. I’m a big guy could have probably used a slightly larger portion but it was a lunch sized portion so understandable. Decor is nice with some high end touches. Service was good, friendly. Some oddities like bringing back a half full soda refill but overall good. Paid 21 bucks with soda.

Get ready Livingston! Sushi was so fresh and yummy. I tried the spicy edamame & the flavors were bomb. (I don't even typically like edamame but whatever they put on it was *chefs kiss.*) Everyone was super friendly. Really clean modern space. Great for lunch or cute dinner date at night. Super happy that I have a new sushi spot. Trying hibachi next time and I feel like I will NOT be disappointed.
