I am officially finished buying anything at Livingston Bagel. I put in an online order for the last couple holidays and it's the same thing, a constant state of confusion by all who work there. My order was not able to be found, even though I had a web order receipt. After waiting in line in the front for 40 mins, only to be told to go around back for pick up... I wait there another 15 minutes as they shuffle paper adding machine type papers around looking for the last name.. Finally it turns out it was under my email name. Then it takes another 20 mins for the guy to find my box. Why not have a laptop, search order by name, have it correspond to a number, then look for the box by number, not by names on a hanging piece of adding machine paper... in 2021, there are far better systems than shuffling small pieces of paper around...
To food, it was all there, but on this occaision as on others, the corned beef and pastrami was not the homemade type, it was grocery store pre-made like boars head, or thumans.. so to pay the premium prices for standard grocery store cold cuts is really deceiving the customer. If on holidays they just can't make enough of the home made corned beef and pastrami, they should say it's the pre cooked type, and charge accordingly...
It's too bad, because Livingston Bagel is close to home and for the most part has good food.. but between lack of systems in dealing with orders, poorly trained staff, and subs of non home made products, I will no longer patronize or reccomend Livingston Bagel. The owner who is often behind the counter, should hire a consultant and get better systems in place for dealing with order production and distribution. The owner should also train his staff, so they can better represent his business instead of upsetting the customers with...
Read moreI went here with 3 of my coworkers and we were horrified... This one guy ,named Johnny I believe, just did not know what he was doing... He messed up my coworkers order and did not tell me they did not sale what I asked for until he charged me for it... Also the guy who was at the register did not know the prices and charged my friend less and Johnny charged me the "correct" price... Johnny and the other guy responded with such and uncaring attitude we were all disgusted...I called letting them know I was going to write a review and this polite woman answer the phone and said that my coworker and I could go in for a free sandwich... Well I went in today and two women just should me the lack of communication letting me know they were not going to honor what was told to me over the phone... One was polite about it but the other, not so much... They did give me the money back for the item that I was charged for, which is why I gave the 2 stars instead of one... So all together they have a cook who can not take the order properly, a cashier who does not know the prices, and a manager who does not know how to manage... Not a place I would like to...
Read moreIf I could give this 0 stars, I would. I called at 11:30am to place my order. The lady on the phone told me it would be ready at 12:15pm. I got there at 12:10pm to pick up my order in time. I parked in the back. I called them several times letting them know I was in the back. No one came. It was 12:25pm by the time I rushed to the front because I had to get back to work. This was ridiculous. Finally! At 12:30pm, someone came with my order & then had the condescending nerve to yell at me & tell me that my order was supposed to take 45 mins. & that I had to be patient. I was told differently & for it to be picked up at 12:15pm. But that's not my issue. What bothered me was her attitude & her tone & ALSO, WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO YELL AT ME TO SAY THOSE THINGS? WHO ARE YOU TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? It was VERY disrespectful. It was VERY shocking. & I WILL NEVER return to this bagel shop EVER AGAIN! Bagels 4 U has BETTER BAGELS & THEY'RE NOT AS OVERPRICED!
