Heartbreaking š what a Terrible Terrible experience Just moved to Lodi and it just so happened we spent all day dealing with a passing loved one. I called at 8:55 pm Friday night 4/1/22 to order a pizza for my 2 kids age 5 and 9 and my husband. We had not eaten since way early due to the situation so I asked the man politely if I could order over the phone but we were coming to Dine in⦠I thought since it was late (unsure if they were still taking orders) I should hurry up and place an order Iām told they are open until 10pm ok Greatā¦and my children were tired and hungry & I thought it would be appropriate to call in ok⦠so the man continues as he told me it was fine. We wanted a waitress we wanted the dine in experience he knew that.
If I knew I would be treated so badly I would have waited to place the order coming in so we could have a nice dine in experience. Well it definitely was not!! Unbelievable in my whole life of living never have I ever felt such rudeness and unkindness and even sadder that my children felt the unwelcome feeling. The pizza is great I would never hate on the owners sadly the workers made it so terrible I will never go back. Truthfully I feel like it was the young man who answered the phone wish I would have gotten his name. But I feel as if he would have communicated that you CAN Not order ahead of time regardless of any situation to get a nice dine experience. I would have just made my children patiently wait but instead he lied to us saying it was fine so when we showed up, we got the pizza with no ranch, no plates, no anything we wanted sodas and they clearly did not want our service. We tipped ahead of the service letting them know we want to dine in ( and we would have tipped the waitress) like we said to begin with to basically be treated so poor. At the end when I went back up to ask for the owner they said only the manager was there (who was standing 3 feet away) made eye contact & completely ignored me. Thank you for making our day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI grew up in Lodi, and Ricks was always an institution. It pains me to leave this review, but the pizza I just had was terrible. We ordered a large taco pizza with sour cream on the side. The entire large pizza had almost ZERO ground beef, there wasn't even a piece of ground beef on most slices. I had to upload this because it was unbelievable. I circled the pieces of ground beef that were there, look for yourself. We called Ricks to ask if they made a mistake, and Mr Rick himself informed us that there was NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR PIZZA. We asked if we could bring the whole pizza back to show him the lack of meat. It is heart breaking to have to do this, but the pizza was absolutely not acceptable. And Rick was unwilling to work with us, insisting that the ground beef was actually there inside the cheese. Well Rick, look at the pictures, we used a spoon in the second image to dig into the cheese, and there is NO GROUND BEEF AT ALL! I had this same pizza (taco pizza) many times in my life and never had this issue. I feel like Rick doesn't care about the quality anymore, and unfortunately Ricks will never again be a special treat when I visit family in Lodi. It appears he doesn't have the quality standards anymore, but still charges a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat place for kids and family. Post-sports game bite, birthday parties, family get togethers, etc... lots of seating all indoors. Charming atmosphere but suffers a little from high kid-based business traffic (dropped food, toys, misplaced chairs, etc..) the place is heavily staffed and is really clean despite but the amount of children make it unpredictable. They have a small arcade with a large array of quarter machines with candy and small toys. Perfect for family trips and any situation with a large amount of kids. Anything else is ill-advised as the noise, traffic of kids, workers, and pizzas make it hard. The restraunt is well-equipped for very large groups we had a group of over 20 coming from a wedding rehearsal and stopped here and were able to accommodate ADHD 3-year olds, other little ones, disabled elderlyfolks, vegetarians, picky eaters, several babies, and a few people with minor allergies as well as everyone else. High chairs, changing tables in the bathroom, crayons. Besides Rick's there's also an ice cream parlor and Dollar Tree in the same lot. Highly recommended for large families with...
