I can’t contact I’ve seen a TikTok video that made me really want to try this coffee place. It’s been in my buckets of places to visit for over a year. It being my birthday, my husband surprised me with a trip. 3 hours away. And we go in to not so great hospitality. Behind the counter were teenagers talking crap about someone. Our cashier looked at us, walked away, and we just stood there for a good 3 minutes not knowing what to do, then someone else finally walks up and looks just as confused. I asked about recommendations for my husband, and this guy hadn’t the slightest idea of what to even recommend. I asked “how about a popular choice?” Still not a clue. The coffee I ordered was supposed to have cold foam, definitely didn’t, but from the awful looks on a teenager in a light green (like a belly shirt) top on, I wasn’t even going to bother asking. I seen a customer ask for something regarding her coffee and this employee had just a nasty “I’d rather be anywhere but here” look on her face. Not a single smile or even a fake smile. After the beginning introduction to the atmosphere, I got our coffee to go bcuz I didn’t want to spend my day around bad hospitality. It was a very disappointing trip for my 35th birthday to say the least. I think it would have been great if a single one out of the 5 employees standing there, would have been remotely pleasant. But, I did get a macaron and who ever made those, chefs kiss! That was my highlight!, a macaron. Also, it would be nice to know who’s drink is who’s. I didn’t even realize mine was in fact mine, since it wasn’t made with the cold foam it was suppose to have. Maybe a name system or someone actually saying the name of the coffee out...
Read moreI’ve been to this coffee shop twice now! The first time I traveled from Chillicothe with my husband to try some of this amazing coffee everyone in town was raving about and it did not disappoint. We shared a coffee & cheesecake flight. The gentleman, (who may have been the owner), I called before we made the hour trip seemed genuinely enthusiastic to speak with me about all of their selections and to meet us in person once we made the trip. That was back in May 2022. We just visited again this past Monday. Some friends, my husband & I were staying at a cabin in Hocking Hills as one last “hoorah” for summer and stopped here for some morning coffee. The owner stopped us in the parking lot and offered to take my phone to get a picture of us in front of the shop (after seeing that I’d be excluded from said picture). We told him we were thrilled to be coming back for a 2nd go around and bringing the crew with us this time! After about 20 minutes of sitting down and enjoying some brew, the owner walked to the back patio and looked at our group and said “we’re really honored you guys made it down to us, so we’d like you to play some mini golf on the house”. I swear to you, people. If you’ve been looking forward to visiting this shop or didn’t know if you were sure, I don’t care, let this be your sign to not only walk- but RUN HERE!! Not only is the coffee 100/10 with tons of variety, but the hospitality, kindness & welcoming vibe this place has to offer made the trip worth it. Read moreI've come to this wonderful hidden gem a dozen of times. Since discovering it in the past year or so. We try to come at least once a month, since it's a good 40 minute drive from us.
I love to support a small business and try to every opportunity I get. The rating is so low based entirely on the staff's attitude the past few times I've been in. It's always the same individual whose demeanor is short, rude, and just extremely unfriendly. She gives the air that you're bothering her. I understand when it's the weekend and you're busy so you may not be as engaging or attentive. However when we're the only patrons and you CHOOSE to treat us poorly. Well I completely lose all understanding.
I don't understand being in customer service and just being so unwelcoming. I will consider returning because I just love love love their coffee flights, especially the cold brew ones. I appreciate that they change up the flavors and offer such a wide variety!
When you're spending $35 on coffee and going out of your way to go somewhere special. You deserve to be treated kindly. Please address your staff (it's the woman with the short dark hair making drinks at the counter.) I would hate to see such a great place not survive in this struggling economy solely because the staff doesn't care.
