The Cliffs at Hocking Hills — Hotel in Logan

We could not have been happier in Bungalow 3 at The Cliffs at Hocking Hills. It was so serene and beautiful! The walk from the parking lot to the bungalow is no joke so be prepared for a workout….we enjoyed it! Inside was just so well thought of - the big picture window overlooking the woods, the gas fireplace, the functional kitchen with all the gadgets and tools you need, the record player with some classics but also some Christian music, smokeless bonfire pit and hot tub, the bedroom with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the woods. It was just breathtaking and so well thought through. My husband and I both said numerous times we could live there. We enjoyed the sauna on the property as well.

I was worried about privacy with the bungalows being next to each other but that wasn’t an issue at all! We felt like we were there alone! Each of the bungalows has privacy walls between them with nothing blocking the beautiful view behind them.

This was our first time in Hocking Hills and The Cliffs did not disappoint! The property was close to everything. Old Man’s cave is about 25 min away and Cantwell Cliffs is only about 7 min down the road. Walmart and Kroger about 15 min.

I found the Cliffs on an Instagram reel as my husband and I were trying to figure out a trip that was somewhere nearby West Michigan for us to road trip too.

We decided to book the Cliffs because the amenities, the natural landscapes and the interiors of the bungalows looked incredible.

Seeing everything in person took our breath away - the owners have done an excellent job with the design of the property and thinking of intricate details, like including a record player, to truly make the experience unique.

My husband and I loved the fireplace feature and the hot tub the most. We stayed in Bungalow 2 and there was a tree right above our hot tub providing a natural canopy.

The other thing that we appreciated so much was the digital guidebook. One recommendation would be to have that guidebook be accessed via QR code on the physical welcome book.

We made this trip mostly for the Cliffs and were pleasantly surprised to discover the beautiful hikes of Hocking Hills in the area. I could not believe we were in Ohio.

Our favorite hikes were: 1.) Rockhouse 2.) Upper Falls to Lower Falls 3.) The Canter Cliffs

A Perfect Blend of Modern Comfort and Rustic Charm

We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway for a mini family reunion. This modern lodge, nestled in a serene woodland setting, is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful balance of sleek design and warm, rustic elements — high ceilings, natural wood finishes, and large windows that bring the outside in.

But the real wow factor? The waterfall feature just outside the lodge. The gentle sound of cascading water created the most peaceful backdrop for morning coffee and evening wine. It added a tranquil, almost magical touch to the entire experience.

Inside, the lodge had every modern amenity we needed — a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and luxurious bedding. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, making us feel both pampered and right at home.

The hiking trails nearby were beautiful and also a highlight of our visit. Family drove from 8 hours away and everyone thought the trip was worth it. Such a wonderful time!
