TRULE BOBA & TEA — Restaurant in Lombard

I met a friend at Trule, and it was a nice place, clean and fresh, they had a bunch of plants which was really nice to see and big windows that let a lot of natural light through. I've never had boba before so I'm not going to judge it based off of my uneducated taste (I wasn't expecting tapioca to be so chewy) so I'm judging it on atmosphere. There wasn't a lot of seating, which is fine, I had my wheelchair and my friend and I sat at the table, but the music. OH MY GOD. It was SO loud. Like. Phenomenally loud. Maybe I was just sensitive yesterday but I swear my friend and I had to repeat every other sentence because of how loud it was. I really couldn't hear her. And you know, if it's the workers just chilling and there's nobody in the store or just one person sitting, that I can accept happily. But the fact that me and my friend were clearly talking and we were there for forty minutes, and they never turned the music down- I don't need it off! At all! Just turned down when people are clearly talking. I couldn't even hear the lady who was at the counter when she asked me what I wanted. I just need a perception when people are in a store to make people a little more comfortable, because I was on edge the whole time because of how loud it was. And I don't like that music especially but I really didn't need or want it turned off, just turned down enough so I could hear myself think, ya know? Absolutely love TRULE BOBA & TEA! This spot has quickly become my go to for delicious boba drinks. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of flavors and unique options that you won’t find elsewhere. Every drink I've tried has been perfectly crafted from the smoothness of the tea to the perfect chewiness of the boba pearls. The staff is super friendly and always ready with recommendations, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Whether you’re a first-timer or a boba enthusiast, TRULE BOBA & TEA is a must visit. First time trying this place. Couldn’t find the menu anywhere online so I had no idea what they offered. They had some basic choices and a few unique ones. I decided on the dragonfruit lemonade and it just wasn’t very good. The flavor was off, it was tart which I usually like but this was not in a good way. They also didn’t fill it up all the way, like not even close. The prices are high compared with other boba shops in the area and unfortunately this was not high enough quality to be worth it.
