Offset Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Lomita

Nice little coffee shop off of Crenshaw. Smaller parking lot and a small indoor and outdoor seating area. The atmosphere is pretty hip and there's some upbeat music playing that was nice but a little loud for the space. Lol. Made me want to drink and get moving.

There were four employees in the front of house viable and they were all working and super helpful and friendly.

They have a good selection of coffee and tea drinks and a little menu of different toasts and biscuits.

I had the flat white with oat milk and asked them to split the milk and espresso so I could taste the espresso before before mixing. I'm into trying espresso straight but can't drink it without something added. The espresso wasn't bad. Definitely WAY better then the big chain coffee shops in the area. It wasn't over extracted and the taste was pretty clean. There was a small sign where you order letting you know what type of beans they were using for their drip coffee and espresso. That was a really cool touch!

The coffee here is a nice welcome to the usual Starbucks, with it's pretty presentation in the ceramic mug as opposed to a plastic cup. However, for $5, the cup was not very large, the roast was bitter, and the coffee itself was lukewarm at most. I was forced to drink the coffee, quickly, so as not to taste it cold, which does not work when trying to sit and enjoy a beverage. Generally coffee should be hot enough to not burn one's tongue, but still be hot enough to warm the body when ingested. The location is set in an unfortunate plaza, overlooking the boulevard, so the customer is forced to watch and listen to the ongoing traffic - thus further taking away from the much-needed calmness and relaxation many coffee lovers thrive on. Also, we had the cinnamon toast, (which was $6), and it came lightly toasted with buttery-cinnamon and some cane sugar sprinkled on top. For the price, I can make that myself at home, and have an entire loaf of brioche bread leftover. Overall the experience was not bad, but having had better gourmet coffees elsewhere, this place comes in...

I loved this coffee shop for reasons I will detail AND i strongly reccommend you guys go amd really taste the coffee and enjoy the excellent quality that thus far is displayed, in the face of personnel shortages and all the challenges that ..."you know who" is imposing on local retail business. Making the lives of average Californians more and more challenging. Anyway that said here are my veredicts: Great friendly hoid concept. No franchising. Kudos No adding waste to our environment with great, classy, elegant, ceram7c cups. Lean and mean Avocado toast and plain bagel. Friendly personnel. Please be kind to them and leave tips whenever possible. Music kool, specillay at the end and volume not too high. Wi fi ...kudos

Areas of opportunity: Upper nanagment i suspect, could improve level of communication with great floor employees. Have a wider assortmebt of bagels Hire an additional employee, if excellent svc along with great sales are a pursuit.
