Phenomenal food and fantastic portions served with love.

Wow! What an amazing hole-in-the-wall find for excellent Mediterranean food. So good I came back two nights in a row.

I stumbled on this restaurant because of it's amazing reviews on Google Maps - don't let the 34 reviews and new-ish status of this restaurant fool you - it is the TRUTH.

My recommendation: Beef kofta kebab plate with fries and Greek salad.

First - the food. My first night here, I got the chicken and beef shawarma combo plate. The entire drive home, the delicious, smoky smell of the chicken shawarma filled my car. The taste was even better. The chicken was tender, smoky, savory, and juicy. The steak provided a nice robust flavor as a counterbalance to the light chicken - also cooked to perfection. Everything is cooked fresh to order and the freshness shows in both flavor and texture.

The next night I went back (yes, it was THAT good) and I got the beef kofta kebab plate with fries and a Greek salad. Man, that meal really took it up a notch. The kofta kebab was out of this world. The beef was rich and melt-in-your-mouth buttery, just perfectly textured. The meat seasoned wonderfully with aromatic and fragrant spices. I love kofta kebabs and order them often and these may just be the best ones I've ever had. The fries also were so, so delicious. The seasoning on them took them from normal fries to over the top. I could eat this all day!

Of course, this review would be incomplete without talking about the sauces. From the earthy, creamy, fresh hummus to the unbelievable tangy garlic sauce, I found myself using the pita to scrape out every last bit of these sauces.

The portions were fantastic and my bowl was loaded to the brim with meat - I ended up getting two huge meals out of just one order.

Second, the service:

I don't think I have ever met an owner/chef who is as passionate about their job as the owner of Vendetta Rossa. The first night, we chatted about his passion for food, his journey to opening his business, and the love he has for cooking. You can tell he really cares about the food. It is evident talking to him, even moreso when you take a bite of what he's making. This is food cooked with love.

The second night when I came back, he was so excited I liked the food he let out an audible cheer. It is so special to see people who take this much pride in their work.

This place is amazing. If you like Mediterranean food - honestly, if you like food at all - you'll love...

Simply great take out Mediterranean. I'm not sure when this restaurant opened but I'm glad we found it. Mediterranean food is somewhat of the "in" thing right now so it can become run of the mill. Vendetta Rossa definitely separates itself from the others. We ordered the beef shawarma, chicken kebab plates and the beef kabob wrap. All three orders were outstanding. The proteins were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The toppings and sides were fresh and I liked the variety of sauces that are available during the order. The tzatziki sauce was a stand out with it's chunks of cucumber and prominent herbs. When we went to pick up the food we noticed the place was "SPOTLESS." The floors are so clean you could eat off of them. A couple of notes if you've never been here. It is strictly take out. There is no dining room, just simple a reception/cashier area to get your food. They only take orders online (no phone orders either) or if you walk in, there a screen to place your order. I have a few go to spots for a quick take out dinner during the week. Vendetta Rossa definitely just jumped into...

A hidden gem, so don't miss it! You're gonna want to try it. Takeout only spot. This restaurant is punching so far above its price point, it's insane they're not overrun and sold out everyday.

Quality is excellent. The chicken shawarma plate looked, smelled and tasted amazing and is fulfilling all my shawarma needs right now. The seasoning on the chicken was a bit strong for me but it tasted great which makes up for it, and bet a lot of people will prefer it that way. Salad is very fresh, bright and substantive. No limp or browning produce. Fresh. Everything looks made the right way.

Their plates are stacked and are pretty big. If you don't eat huge portions then their plates could serve 2 ppl.

All their sauces are also done very well, they make you want to mix up every bite with them. The salad dressing I think is their own vinigerette recipe with a bit of citrus and is a damn good one if you like vinaigrettes. Great for cleansing the palette between the heaps of rice, shawarma bites and sauces.
