Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Lompoc

Terrible experience! I was out having a nice Daddy Daughter day with my 3 yr old little girl. After we had already ordered our ice cream and sat down to eat them she told me she needed to go potty. I asked the employee if they had bathroom she could use. I was informed they had a bathroom but it wasn’t public and she could not use it. I questioned the logic behind not letting a 3yr old use a bathroom. The employee contacted the owners to ask if it was ok, but the answer was still no. We were then offered to let my daughter use the bathroom by herself. Not surprisingly she started to cry at the idea of using a bathroom in an unknown place by herself. I asked to speak to the owners myself. I was initially given the run around by the employee but eventually she called the owners directly. The owners finally explained they wouldn’t allow my daughter to use the bathroom because they were worried we would steal something. I was caught totally off guard that the owners would think someone with their 3 yr old daughter was targeting Baskin Robbins for theft. And while I found it utterly ridiculous I even offered the keys to my car, my cell phone, and my ID as collateral their employee could hold while my little girl used the restroom. The answer was still no. I can not think of an incident where I have experienced such callous treatment toward any of my little girls. My family and I will never visit this Baskin Robbins again. I am taken aback and hurt by the treatment my little girl was shown by the Stone family. Ice cream is good. What can i say about a good variety of ice cream we know ice cream is tasty, they have a few types of toppings, sundaes, shakes, cakes, and coffees. Going by most people love ice cream ans the place is kept relatively clean, i think there are two things to discuss really prices, and portions. They are expensive $7.00 for two sccops of ice cream is not cheap. I always go with my wife and 2 kids it runa around $35.00 every time. Now i like fudge, carmel, etc. On my ice cream it is $0.75 for extra toppings. They consider a topping 2.5 pumps and it never seems like enough on a sundae so i think they could definitely put more on for the price you are paying it would be cheaper to make them at home out og hagen dawes or ben and jerry's.
