ALDI — Local services in Lompoc

Update September 2025

Things continue to get worse at this location. I wish that upper management or corporate would look into this Aldi location. Now, all the self checkout lanes have been removed. Employees say it's because of theft. Now, customers have to wait in long lines to checkout, there is usually only one cashier. It takes a long time to check out. It's so inefficient.

But there are even more problems that continue to get worse at this store: The store has lots of empty shelves and out-of-stocks. This wasn't a problem a few months ago. Thirdly, the store is now very dirty and unsanitary: trash along the aisles, flour powder scattered along the shelves, sparkling water spilled along the floors (some examples). How did this Aldi location go downhill so quickly?

My family has been cutting back on shopping at Aldi now. That's such a shame, because we used to love Aldi since they have low prices and have some European grocery items. But unfortunately, we are having to split our grocery shopping at ither stores now.

Slow checkout process and long lines, especially after 7 p.m.

Good prices, but the store has gone downhill in recent months in terms of the checkout process, cleanliness, lack of in-stocks, and a stern-faced security guard...

Went to Aldis today 9/4/22 the store was clean but one customers was pushing her 7-8 year old child in grocery Part of the cart she was letting child hang her legs over edge and she was kicking people as parent pushed her by customers & your cashier on the 1st check out was Rude She needs a good swift talking too about her attitude you have only been open 4 days and Customer is always right I worked in fast food as well as grocery store being rude was Un acceptable then and still is today plus you don't bag groceries and you charge cart rental plus 2 cents more per bag Lady that checked us out was Debra!! This is by far the smartest cleanest lowest price food store in lompoc i could go on and on about this store. From the smart quarter shopping carts so they dont get stolen to the management that cant be any nicer to myself and my little dog Wiley(my right arm best little buddy) the produce is always fresh i have NEVER had mold on the berries where as i cant buy berries at Albertsons due to mold....they have the regular low prices and they also get new interesting items all the time..i would give this store Aldis 10 stars but the highest i can go is 5....five hats off to Aldis.
