Douglas Burgers #12 — Restaurant in Long Beach

If you get the right cook the food is amazing, if you don't you have to bring it back and they will redo the order. The girl at drive the window is very nice but, man, having to go back and redo the order when the right cook isn't there is becoming very inconvenient. The one cook tho, is really very good. Maybe he should train the others? LOL (Actually, I just found out it was not the cooks fault. It was the lady at the window who gave me the wrong order. So, the cook is great, the lady is nice, just needs to be a little more observant is all. They did replace it.) And now they are refusing, the Owner himself, to cook it thew way I need it because of my dentures. He has gotten very rude and abrasive. The employees are very nice but the owner now is so rude I will not be buying any food from them ever again. I will only get a Pepsi there if I am desperate. This owner does not to get any of my money, that's for sure. Maybe if he didn't seem to be so racist I might feel differently but I really feel he doesn't like older,...

Sometimes there's nothing better than a charbroiled double bacon cheeseburger, they made it the way I whated it they added mustard and toasted the bread on the inside. The carne asada tacos or awesome there, don't forget to ask for extra salsa. The first time having their hard shell tacos with hamburger I was impressed they're very large tacos and very delicious! Their French fries come toasty and very hot they're like icing on the cake. I complimented them on there restrooms they're very very clean and no graffiti. Living in California that's very hard to find it. It seems people like to write on toilets... What kind of person does that? Makes you wonder if people can destroy other people's property how is their living conditions at home. I like this restaurant/hamburger stand because my Grandpa and Dad also ate at Douglas, it's been around our family for a long time, and the tradition...

As a Long Beach resident I've eaten here before. I've had their chili fries, breakfast and sandwiches. All delicious.

I decided to try their fried chicken dinner plate.

The chicken was well made, tender and juicy but the batter was off. It tasted like oil. I was expecting actual dinner rolls but got toasty & buttery buns. I substituted onion rings over french fries. And yes they do charge extra. Onion rings were good except once again, the batter was off. Ranch is extra.
