Douglas Burgers — Restaurant in Long Beach

This is my family's "stand-by" fast food; when we're too tired to decide on something else or to cook at home; when the cupboards are bare; when you want good food & don't want to wonder what you'll get from somewhere else; when you don't want to spend a lot of money & you don't have a "coupon" or need one; when you know their close nearby & open; when you don't want to deal with the "bitchy", "I don't care, its just a job" employees at other places; when you want fast food that you can trust-always good, quick, fresh & made just for you.

The owner & staff are great too! Always quick, professional, friendly & serving with a smile, & they remember you from the last time you were there a month ago.

The negative: Douglas Burgers' menu board is a bit overwhelming. There is a lot on it-anything you can think of for breakfast, lunch & dinner served by a fast food restaurant. It definitely needs to be revamped to make it clearer & visually appealing.

However, before straining your eyes ordering directly from the menu board, I suggest that you just skip it & take a moment to think about what you are craving at the moment or what your favorite food is (within reason of course), then let them know. Usually, if it's not already on their menu, they'll just go ahead & make it for you, & it will be pretty darn good.

Be sure to get at least a side of Douglas' Ranch dressing with your order. It tastes GREAT on everything because it IS THE BEST Ranch dressing you'll ever have! I am NOT a fan of Ranch dressing or dressings in general, but Douglas' Ranch dressing is damn good!

My "go to" meal is the Douglas Double Bacon Cheeseburger Combo, which includes a drink & a side-I usually get fries, but sometimes I get onion rings-there are a lot of other good options though). Their Steak Salad is great too! REALLY good steak in that salad, OMG! Another great option is their Chef's Salad, of course with Ranch dressing!

If you're at Douglas during breakfast & want a great breakfast burrito, Douglas makes the best (served any time, not just for breakfast)! Be sure though, to order a breakfast burrito with ham, sausage & bacon along with the egg, hashbrown & cheese. It's my favorite & it's sooo goood!

You can trust that whatever you get to eat from Douglas Burgers, it will always be good food!

An important note: When writing a review for Douglas Burgers, be sure you are writing it for the correct location. Not all locations are affiliated with one another & even if they are, they should be judged independently. It would be really crappy if someone wrote a negative review for, lets say, Douglas Burgers #3, but submitted it under Douglas Burgers #9 (this location). From the few negative reviews that I have read in the list of all reviews, in my opinion, this has already occurred. What a dump! Haven't been here in years. Got some chili fries 🍟 (who could screw those up right?) THIS DUMP. they put cold fries and chili and cheese in a microwave. Then gave them to me. Fries were soggy and chili nasty. They forgot the onions and ranch dressing. I asked the rude guy at the counter if I could use the restroom. He said they don't have one. Then gave the woman after me the key to the restroom. Horrible dirty place, rude employees and no bathroom based on who you are. I'm reporting to the health department. I love when I stumble upon these places. From the outside it's dated but let me tell you the service and the food and the length of the menu is amazing. I was parked 15 minutes from here and I walked to it because I like finding places like this.
