Finally came a little over a week and a half sorry my late post
but the moment you walk in the Bakeshop aromas are everywhere so get ready for a delicious craving experience ❀I ordered their lumpia and pancit
on a day that was super hot in California over 100 degrees needed to cool off with some delicious Halo Halo with Ube ice cream while waiting for my food
Abby was super polite and welcoming, thanks so much for the amazing service! Bake shop is super cute and filled with lots and lots of Filipino delicious goodies. I ordered a maĂz con Helio for my mother which she enjoyed fully and the food was amazing Pancit 3 flavors was delicious filled with meat and shrimp veggies hard boiled eggs absolutely what I wanted and had been craving for a while now
I worked before with many Filipino friends and would always enjoy many of their savory and delicate dishes and pastries
now I have a place to enjoy Adobo, empanadas,or putos when ever I’m in the mood and heading homeđŸ„°â€ïžđŸŒ»đŸ™Œâ€Šthe lumpia was on point filled with delicious meat goodness and super super crunch and crispy in every bite! So if you’re craving their delicious food check out the website or Instagram and have your foodie boy or girl in you enjoy to the fullest the experience of their delicious food..you can also order and get it shipped to you if you’re not local
so if you’re in the Westside of Long Beach come check them out
not far from 710 fry Willow exit
come try them out you won’t leave with just one item I can...

I recently visited Gemmae Bake Shop with high hopes of indulging in some delicious ube treats. I got the ube tres leches, ube banana cream pie, ube ensaymada, and ube macapuno ensaymada. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.

The main letdown was the lack of genuine ube flavor in any of the items. Despite their vibrant purple color, none of the treats captured the taste of ube that I was craving. Also, the ube macapuno ensaymada contained unexpected coconut-tasting jelly shreds, which tasted terrible.

On the positive side, the ambiance of the bakery was pleasant, and the staff was friendly, but when it comes to taste, it fell short.

Given the hype around ube-themed treats, I had higher expectations for this bakery. Sadly, I left disappointed and feeling like I wasted my money on items that didn't deliver on their promises. If you're seeking genuine ube flavor, I would suggest exploring other options than...

I was looking forward to trying this place for a while now. So when I was in the area, I decided to have a late lunch, early dinner here. Located in a small strip mall, small parking area in the front. Walked in, two of the workers was standing there behind the counter, no greetings, no welcome. Looked at the fast food selections and nothing looked appetizing at all so I skipped that. Decided to pick up a few baked goods items instead. I decided on the Spanish Bread and Pan De Coco. Went up to pay at the register and the cashier went ahead and ring me up. No even asking if anything else or Did I find everything I was looking for. Give them my card, she put my receipt in the bag. No Thank You Come again. Definitely lacking Customer Service. Train your workers proper Customer Service. I'll take my business somewhere else where I'm valued. Will not come back...

If you’re ever looking for Filipino pastries, @gemmaebakeshop is the place to go! They’ve been a Westside Long Beach staple for over 30 years serving baked goods, desserts, and turo turo to the local community. Featured here are their ube tarts, which is comprised of a short crust pastry, filled with an ube pastry cream, and topped with pistachios. The end result is a sweet delight that’s both crispy and soft, with a mild nutty flavor from the ube. Next time you’re in need of some Filipino treats, be sure to swing by Gemmae Bake Shop and give them some love!

We would buy ube macapuno birthday cakes here sometimes for years but haven’t in a long time. Since it was my dad’s 80th this weekend, I wanted to definitely make it special and get a half sheet from Gemmae’s. I was surprised it only came out to $65. The cake was not overly sweet and was light, but tasted nothing like ube
just super purple. Disappointing that the quality has gone down. I’d rather pay more for a cake that truly tastes like ube than one that is just filled with food coloring. The worst part is that they also did not have the correct writing. I had someone else pick it up, otherwise I would’ve had it corrected before bringing it to our birthday celebration. Look at the terrible placement of the “80th”
also underneath “Dad” his name was supposed to be written. And the date was wrong. It should say “March 4” not 5.
