✨💛 La Chiva Colombian Food = Pure Flavor & Love! 🇨🇴
We found a little piece of Colombia right here at La Chiva and let me tell you… WOW. The Bandeja Paisa and bandeja campesina are next-level comfort food — perfectly cooked chicharrón, juicy chorizo, sweet plantains, fluffy rice, and the creamiest beans ever. And that egg? Runny perfection. 🥹🍳💫
Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and made with so much cariño. The avocado was buttery, the arepa was soft, and the whole plate felt like a big, delicious hug from a Colombian abuelita. 💕🙌
Sodas are pricey but I understand they’re imported! Remember they’re a small business 🤍
Also… portions are HUGE! You will not leave hungry — or disappointed. Definitely coming back for more!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I arrived, the service was terrible. The waiter (who seemed to be the owner) refused to serve me, and the cook had to bring me the menu. Another customer even had to go to the kitchen to get service, which already showed a complete lack of professionalism.
But the worst part was the disrespectful attitude when I asked why my offal soup didn’t have chicken feet. His response was completely out of line: “Everyone hates chicken feet, they’re disgusting. Why would we make it with that? You’re the only person who likes eating that.” Not only did he speak to me rudely, but he also questioned my taste as if it were wrong to order a traditional dish from our culture.
Aside from the bad service, the place was dirty and poorly maintained, which is unacceptable for a restaurant. The tables were sticky, and the floor didn’t look clean. To top it off, the prices are ridiculously high for the quality of the food and service they offer.
I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone who values good service, cleanliness, and fair prices. There are many better options to enjoy Colombian food without having to go through such an...
Read moreAll of the dishes were cooked perfectly and had a good portion of protein. The flank steak was tender, the Cazuela de mariscos was delicious and filled with a lot of seafood, and the fries were crispy. The side salad wasn't great, but everything else was delicious. The food is pricier than other restaurants, but you get a nice portion of food and the quality is amazing. I will come back to this restaurant. I recommend the empanadas and the entraña con camarones al ajillo, which is a skirt steak, 4 shrimp, with a garlic sauce, served with rice, fries, and...
