Who would have thought that tucked away inside a liquor store lies a culinary treasure trove of Mediterranean flavors? I recently stumbled upon The Green Olive, nestled within Liquor Land, and I can confidently say that it's a hidden gem worth discovering. The first thing that caught my attention was the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Despite being located within a liquor store, Green Olive has managed to create a warm and intimate space that feels separate from its surroundings. The charming decor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating make it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Green Olive is a true testament to the richness and diversity of Mediterranean cuisine. From classic dishes to unique creations, they offer a wide array of options to please any discerning palate. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the flavors. One standout dish I had the pleasure of savoring was the mouthwatering lamb kebabs. Grilled to perfection, the tender and succulent lamb was seasoned with aromatic herbs and spices, delivering a burst of flavor in every bite. Accompanied by a refreshing tzatziki sauce and a side of fluffy rice, it was a satisfying and well-balanced meal. The service at The Green Olive was friendly and attentive. Despite the bustling environment of the liquor store, the staff members took the time to make me feel welcome and ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions to enhance my meal. What surprised me, even more, was the impressive selection of spirits available within Liquor Land. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a wide variety of wines, craft beers, and spirits conveniently located just steps away from my table. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience, as I was able to pair my meal with a perfectly selected beverage. In conclusion, The Green Olive inside Liquor Land is a hidden gem that combines the best of Mediterranean cuisine with the convenience of a nearby liquor store. The delectable flavors, inviting ambiance, attentive service, and the added bonus of a well-stocked spirits section make it a unique and enjoyable destination for food lovers and spirits enthusiasts alike. If you're looking to satisfy your cravings for Mediterranean delicacies while exploring an unexpected culinary setting, The Green Olive is the perfect spot. So, next time you find yourself perusing the aisles of Liquor Land, don't forget to indulge in the gastronomic delights awaiting you at The Green Olive.

Always On Point – My Go-To Spot! I always tell myself I’m going to leave a review after every visit, but I usually get sidetracked—so I’m writing this in the car before I forget once again! Out of all the Green Olive locations I’ve been to, the one off Long Beach Blvd. near the 405 is consistently the best. The food is always fresh, and hands down, they have the best pita bread—warm, soft, and cooked to absolute perfection every single time. I like to try different things occasionally, but my go-to is the Greek salad with a chicken kebab. It fills me up just right without making me feel heavy, which is perfect when I need to keep pushing through a busy day. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re in the area. Solid food, fast service, and quality that never misses.

Long work day and no time to stop. We happened to come across this place when we stopped to grab a drink from the convenience store. This place was hidden inside towards the back. I ordered the special plate and I am glad i did. Didn't realize I kinda like falafel but this is the first time I had grape leaf wrapped rice that was served plump and hot. This is the way to eat it, trust me though I wish the rice was a bit more cooked. The kebabs were tender and flavorful. The rice served with the meal was bland and over cooked. All in all I would say give The Green Olive a try if you see one around (apparently there are many).

The food is delicious, I've eaten here often. However this time i didn't get my food due to an error on their machine not printing my order. i ordered 1 plate of food and i was told it was going to take about 10-15 mins (it was busy). Right after i ordered my Mom called me and before i knew it 30 mins had passed ( my Mom was talkative) FINALLY they called my name! It was a LARGE bag of food that i knew i didn't order or pay for...( i happen to be an honest person...well i try 😉) and said oh i didn't order THAT much food ( even though i was hungry and could eat off that for a few days i didn't take that food) so to reward my honesty and my patience of waiting over 30mins the large bag of food was taken back and i was told to wait another 10-15mins for my order...Ummmn NO! Due to health reasons i needed to eat within a certain time frame and couldn't wait much longer. So instead of offering SOME type of recourse i was given an "oops sorry"... so i just asked for my money back. So when you do place an order JUST MAKE SURE they actually get your order to the kitchen. The food is good i just didn't get any this day. No i didn't yell or make a fuss and decided the best thing is to leave a review and hope that they can make a change and improve so things like this won't happen...not sure i will go back and I'm sure my complaint may go unnoticed or disregarded like my order...oh well i am just...

I have come here numerous times before but the service is HORRIBLE!! The owner is rude as well as the employees! I ordered over $300 worth of food to have catered for a BDAY party. However, we did not receive a good QTY. There was barely enough to feed the party! It was embarrassing. Last year I had the party catered through Green Olive and we had so much food. This year it was not the same at all!!!! The pans were shallow and they did not give us all of our kabobs. I called to speak with the manager/owner and he asked me to call back in 30 min because it was lunch and they were busy, I agreed. I called back this morning the lady was so rude about everything and basically told me I was lying and that I received all my food. She was extremely aggressive over the phone and would not allow me an opportunity to speak. I had to say several times "Can I speak?" When I finally got an opportunity to speak she could not resolve my issue and said to call back to speak with the owner. She spent the entire time yelling and calling me a liar rather that having the issue resolved. DO NOT do any catering with them, you will be...
