Olive by the Bay is an absolute hidden gem in Southern California, and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this charming little spot! Tucked away in a cozy corner, this place may be small, but it packs a huge punch when it comes to vibe, flavor, and hospitality. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that feels like a warm hug, this is it. The Vibe: Walking into Olive by the Bay feels like stepping into a quaint European café mixed with a laid-back SoCal beach house. The space is intimate and inviting, with rustic decor, soft lighting, and just the right amount of greenery to make it feel fresh and alive. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, unwind, and forget about the chaos of the outside world. The small size only adds to its charm, making it feel like your own little secret spot. The Food: Let’s talk about the star of the show—the food. The breakfast here is next-level delicious. I ordered the classic eggs with avocado toast, and it was perfection. The eggs were cooked just right—fluffy and rich—and the avocado toast was creamy, topped with a sprinkle of chili flakes and a drizzle of olive oil that tied everything together. Every bite was a reminder of how good simple, well-made food can be. My friend got the breakfast burrito, and after stealing a bite (okay, maybe two), I can confirm it’s equally amazing. The Drinks: The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Their coffee is smooth and robust, and they offer a variety of specialty lattes that are worth trying. I went for the lavender latte, and it was floral, creamy, and not overly sweet—basically, a dream in a cup. They also have fresh-squeezed juices and mimosas if you’re in the mood for something boozy to kick off your day.

Omg, where do I even start?! I recently checked out Olive by The Bay on the Long Beach peninsula, and I just HAD to share the experience with all of you! First off, the ambiance is just immaculate--think modern meets beachy with a super cozy touch. Every corner is Insta-worthy, and the staff makes you feel like you're part of the fam from the moment you step in. Now, let's talk food because, wow, it's a game changer! The homemade cheese rolls are to die for--like, seriously, they're my absolute fave! They're perfectly cheesy and have such a unique taste that you just can't find anywhere else. These things are ADDICTING !!!!! The Pesto Pasta and Alfredo Pasta are hands-down the best I've ever had. They nail that rich, home-cooked flavor that makes you feel all warm inside. The ingredients are all super fresh, and you can really tell they put a lot of love into their recipes. Every dish we tried was a hit, making it impossible to choose a favorite (though those cheese rolls might just take the cake ). If you're looking for a spot that promises a delicious meal and a great time, you absolutely need to check out Olive by The Bay. Great food, stunning decor, and the friendliest staff--this place really has it all!

Very cute tiny joint. Call ahead to ask if there is a wait. You can also go online and order ahead for pick up. Olive also caters. It has been open since May 2024 but I just found out about it while bicycling the Penninsula. I had an Oat Milk Matcha Latte. It was good. I can tell you the plated food looked GREAT. The baked goods case looked only as good as what you could buy at Starbucks. I don't think they bake on site. The two ladies in the photo with me have gotten coffee twice here. They say the coffee drinks are adequate but the wait is too long. The staff said business has really been picking up so maybe they are understaffed for how popular they are getting. What they DO have on site is parking in a fenced in lot next door. This is good because 62nd is a postage stamp of a street. I would recommend this place as a great place to meet a friend for brunch. Small, cute, not too loud. And you can walk to the sandy part of the Penninsula right after you eat.

DO NOT GO by this place without stopping in for a bite to eat. Ah-May-Zing! I was greeted by Bryan B. who helped me with parking and a place to sit while I waited for my cousin. Service impeccable and attentive without being intrusive. The food (grilled chicken bowl). OMG it was Yummalicious!!! The rice was cooked to perfection loaded with flavor and had some lettuce that was fresh. The chicken. Oh the chicken let’s just say it was the halo of the dish. Moist, plentiful and the spices were perfect. I did have the pico de gallo served on the side because I don’t do spicy very well. I’m very delicate like a rose petal or as some say more like a bomb. Either way I tasted it and it was good. The dish did have a little spice to it but just enough. I’d say I found a new go to place. It’s a cute trendy looking place with a great vibe. Close enough to have a great breakfast lunch or dinner and a walk by the beach. Oh to live in Southern California. Olives by the Bay the new Jewel in the Crown of...
