Went to eat here and grab a beer since we love Ballast Point beer. The brewery is located right on the harbor. The brewery is very large lots of seating and baes on each floor. You can also see the tanks theough the a glass window. The view was awesome and they had indoor and outdoor seating. We sat on the patio on the top floor. You just can the QR Code on the table you choose to sit at and order and pay for you food and drinks all through the convenience of your phone. Then aomeone delivers your food and drinks right to the table for you. The food was awesome had the Ballast Point Burger waygu beef patty really good size super flavorful. The beers were on point. The spicy melt was good also made with waygu beef I will say it wasn’t that spicy but if you find banana peppers spicy then you might think it is spicy. The garlic fries were good however I found them more parmesany than garlicy. The fish and chips were good too and their tartar sauce was super yummy better than traditional tartar sauxe. The dlatbreads were a good size too super flavorful. Overall food and deinks wise definitely recommend. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because one of our friends hadn’t received his burger and when we asked someone they said they would check then have it out. It wasn’t a big deal til it became an hour later 2 other people asked about the burger later and still no burger. The first guy did give him a free beer, but it was still ridiculous everyone was done eating finished off their beers and he still hadnt eaten. And when I say an hour I’m not just trying to be a “karen” and over exaggerate. We were just hanging out and it literally took forever it legit was an hour and dark out already. Then when he finally got his burger we were told we had to move downstairs its like you guys already took forever to get his food and now youre kicking us out while hes eating to close off the top deck. Like it just came off as so rude. He was in the middle of eating like at least let him finish eating so mid meal he had to pick his tray up and move downstairs. It was pretty busy too so he literally finished his food standing up. Overall place was good customer service was just sadly not there.

First time at Ballast Point Long Beach and left happy, hoppy:) My wife & I decided to have a National IPA Eve outing here on a Wednesday evening (we live closer to DT Disney location but we were going for ambiance). Always have loved everything I've tasted as far as Ballast Point beers, so wanted to try the only ones I haven't tasted and one of them being Aloha Sculpin. Had a 16oz of that and didn't disappoint. Id still pick the Grapefruit Sculpin over it (I've had better hazys). Also did a few 4oz tasters, Victory At Sea, Sextant Oat Stout, Wahoo and got ones I've had before Calico and Watermelon Dorado just to have a few more. Loved them all! Food paired well with the beers. Wife had the wings alongside an 8oz Fatham IPA and I went with a medium Burger, upgraded to the garlic fries mmmm. Nice tasting meat in the burger! We sat outside and loved the atmosphere & views. Such a perfect setting to hang after a long day at work. I can imagine this place getting so crowded around the weekends, so glad we went on a Wednesday evening. Parking wasn't bad either at the time we got in as there were a few open spots (did a Yelp wait-list while we were on our way). Some people might get turned off at the fact of ordering food/drinks via your phone from your table but I loved it! Super simple, easy, and convenient. Keep the tab open, order some more, they bring it out to you. They do have a 2 hour table limit and we slightly went over it and no one bothered us. By the time we closed out and left to go inside, the staff turned on some patio heaters and fire pit. It wasn't that cool out but still felt nice. Photos don't do justice, ambiance is absolutely on point here! Inside wasn't as crowded. We checked the store out before leaving and my wife bought a pretty nice looking Sculpin IPA shirt (we asked about it since one of the cool waitresses was wearing one) and I scored a good deal they are promoting for beer week. Got a case of 24 bottles of Grapefruit Sculpin for $25 to go! I love IPA day! Such an super awesome deal and made our day! Cheers to everyone at BP LB! Your staff is amazing as well!

Update - Four Years Later . . . I've dropped the overall rating to a '4'; Service to a '3'.

Walk in the door and you are invited to 'pick a seat'. Oh, you want a baby booster seat, right there behind you, drag it to your table with you. We picked outdoor seating on the lower level; upper level was closed.

Ordering from a QR Code on the table. Limited descriptions of beers. Got questions, go find somebody or walk to the outside bar. BTW, no stouts. Oh, you want one of the barrel aged porters, you'll have to order that at the interior bar and order that - can't do it off the menu. Leo, at the interior bar was great. Fun to talk to about beers and took the time to find me a nice #7(?) Porter that satisfied my Stout craving.

BTW - we're not giving you live table service, except to bring your food AND we're going to add an up-charge for that convenience.

In addition to beer and wine, we ordered two Fried Shrimp Sopes, the burger and the brisket sandwich. All were good . . . however, they brought the two Sopes out first and said the other two would be a while, as it takes a while to prepare the brisket. What? Isn't that like a cooked for hours thing? Brisket came later and by the time the burger came out, the two that ordered sopes were almost done.

The beer is still good. Food is good. One comment about the Garlic Parmesan Fries . . . great flavor, very oily or greasy compared to the regular fries. A table behind also had them and had the same comment.

Despite the enhanced service, the convenience fee to order from a QR Code and not have anyone to ask a question of, an 18% Tip is the default. I mean, yes, they did bring us our food . . .

If you want service, maybe the indoor seating would be better?

Great location and great beer. Thanks nephew! We spent the afternoon here for a wedding reception. Had great appetizers, brats, sliders & sides. Accompanying that was fine beer. I lean toward the stouts and really enjoyed Victory at Sea - hints of peanut butter, coffee and vanilla. Took a growler of it home. Location is right on the channel, so you can watch the power and sail boats come and go. The only down side might have been the area we had reserved. Upper deck with a great view of the channel . . . full sun exposure. Got a little fried after four hours . . . from the sun,...
