I'm giving this 5 stars because I think it has a lot of promise.
Parking is a nightmare. Be prepared to park somewhere south of the location and walk to it. It's not a great distance, but the parking was so cramped it gave me a mini panic episode.
The good and great: Pizza crust was delicious, the pizza itself was pretty darn good, the Miso-ceasar salad was incredible (seriously, come for the salad if nothing else!), and they have house made rice krispy like treats :-) OH! And the croutons they served the salad with were freshly made and the sourdough bread the croutons were made from was remarkably good. I had the lunch special and after the addition of the rice krispy like spiel and the tip, it came to about $21 or so. The location is clean, and I will definitely try one of their other pizzas in the near future.
The less-than-good: The pizza had obviously been sitting around for a while (no complaint there, it was still delicious) but there wasn't really any cheese in the center to speak of. The sauce is good and the dough is amazing, but the cheese was minimal. The price given the portions seems a little off and higher than is should be, but inflation is hitting us all hard.
I will definitely be back and will purchase one of the full-size pizzas rather than the lunch special because it's generally a better deal given the portions.
A word of warning to other people who are noise sensitive. I encourage you to sit outside if you can; there is one employee who can project their voice farther than a couple of singers and actors I've met. Just means that if you are also noise sensitive, it would be wise to...
Read moreWhen I was a kid, I loved pizza so much that I dreamed of opening my own pizzeria. I like to think it would've been just like this one.
The Food: I had two slices of pepperoni pizza, and they were fantastic. Every ingredient really stood out - from the sourdough crust to the sauce, cheese, and those perfectly cupped pepperonis (which I'm a sucker for). It's a great mix of high-quality ingredients. It's like a Megazord of cheesy goodness.
As a pizza aficionado, I wholeheartedly approve.
The Ambiance: This is a cozy spot with plenty of natural light from a big window. From a design perspective, I love their branding. It has that classic '80s pizza parlor vibe, but the restaurant itself feels very modern. It's a great balance, and I really enjoy the atmosphere.
The Service: Believe it or not, the customer service here might just be better than the pizza. We were greeted by what I'm pretty sure is the owner, who was incredibly friendly. He complimented my shirt and made sure to greet every customer who walked in. You could tell he genuinely cares. He remembered regulars and took the time to ensure everyone felt welcome, even though he was clearly busy. It's those little touches that make me want to return... along with the...
Read moreThis pizza is delicious! When I walked in I was a little skeptical not to see a regular cheese pizza on the menu but then I learned that the "OG Margarita" is where it's at. The owner / head chef was in the building and he overheard me talking to the cashier and he stepped into explain how they make their pizzas and even what kind of cheese they use. All quality ingredients by the way! After talking to him and then also listening to one of the patron's recommendations to give it a try because it's very good, I said why not. So I ordered it! Price wasn't too bad and you get what you paid for, which at this place it's quality.
This was probably some of the best pizza I've ever had! The fermented dough makes a difference! It was the perfect amount of chew. You can tell their sauce is made from scratch... Very flavorful. And the cheese was delicious.
Great customer service! Great food! Great vibes in general. I also really liked the open kitchen concept.
Job well done and without question, I'll...
