Taco Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

This review is specifically for the Cantina Bar adjacent to Taco Beach (both locations are related).

We do our very best to always fly out of Long Beach Airport whenever possible. Our trip just wouldn’t be complete without stopping for at least one drink at the Cantina.

We always look forward to seeing our bartender friends Jessie & Brian, who are always happy to see us and engage in delightful conversations and good humored banter.

The drinks are always well poured (management: not over poured, but well poured 😉), especially for an airport bar.

The food from Taco Beach is really good for airport food; it always hits the spot if you need to grab a quick bite before your voyage. We even crave the street fries w/ carne asada when we’re not at...

We were trying to get a warm breakfast at the Long Beach airport before our flight and stopped here in the line at Sweet Jill's. When we reached the cashier, Dani, we were met with rude, impolite, unsatisfactory service while being rushed. We hadn't even had time to view the menu, which was out of view while in line. Our questions were answered with rude, stern answers and quick fired questions if we wanted anything else. I responded "yes we wanted more items, and if she could be patient and polite." The robot didn't understand. She didn't take a name for the order or explain how we were to know they were calling out our order as ready. My breakfast sandwich arrived cold, just like Dani. This just reminded me of why I don’t like California or any states that up charge so much. I spent $54 for two burritos and a drink! It is $12 for a burrito that doesn’t even come with meat. The meats are add-ons for $6. The guacamole is an add on for $5 and you can’t even find it in the burrito. The service was meh. She obviously didn’t care about her job. The poor man before me asked for a quesadilla and his quesadilla was placed on a dirty grill that hadn’t been cleared of the previous food. She also placed his to-go box right on top of a cutting board that was used to cut things previously and was not cleaned off.
