Sabor do Brazil — Restaurant in Long Branch

Sabor do Brasil is a self-service restaurant that offers Brazilian food, including grilled meats, Brazilian-style pizzas, Brazilian-style hamburgers, desserts, soft drinks, and coffee. The restaurant is very casual and typically does not have a host or hostess. This restaurant is good for take-out and eat-in, can accommodate groups, and accepts reservations.

If you're ordering pizza(s) or hamburgers, find yourself a table first and then flag down a server so you can place your order. If you're eating from the buffet, head on over and help yourself to a variety of foods, including cold salads and authentic hot entrees. At the end of the hot food bar there is a grill where you can order from an ample selection of grilled meats, sausages, and poultry. Red meats are offered from medium-rare to medium-well, just ask. After the grill, there is a weight station where your food will be weighed and where you can order your first round of soft drinks and/or fresh juices. If you prefer the all-you-can-eat special, you can bypass the scale altogether. At this point, all that's left to do is grab silverware and find a table. Drinks and ice will be brought to your table, with a server stopping by occasionally to clear your table and offer refills.

Some notes: the restaurant does not serve alcohol but does allow you to BYOB. All staff I've communicated with speak both English and Portuguese. I HIGHLY recommend looking over the entire hot food bar before you start plating, their plates are pretty shallow. If you've never had or heard of Brazilian-style pizza and hamburgers, you're in for a treat! There is HEAVY emphasis on toppings, which means the burgers are often messy (but oh, so good). The pizza slices can be heavy and difficult to eat with your bare hands, so be prepared to use a fork and knife!!! Lastly, they also offer pre-portioned meal specials. These are posted above the grill & weight station.

Went for dinner with my husband and cousin last night. We enjoy trying new restaurants that are not a franchise or fast food. I'm a firm believer that local cuisine or mom and pop shops serve the best foods. This little gem, located in Long Branch, did not disappoint. We've tried several Brazilian/Rodizio style restaurants and honestly, Sabor do Brazil wins! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hot buffet, that comes with the all you can eat grilled meats, is unmatched. We enjoyed everything. I do wish they had refillable drinks to compliment refillable plates, but still worth it. My faves were... everything. Skirt steak, roast beef, sausage, stewed chicken, etc... all deliciously flavored. We can't wait to go back. Please note, when I found this restaurant, I assumed the prices ($25/pp) on online menus were correct. Due to the pandemic and changes in how they source their fresh meats, the price is now $45/pp. Sticker shock, but the quality makes up for it. Next time, we'll grab a bottle of wine to bring, as it's BYOB. Overall, great experience. We left stuffed and satisfied....

Mouthwatering deliciousness!!!! The meats were cooking 5 ft from the table over an open rotisserie pit. Everything from pork ribs to beef ribs, skirt steak , chicken and much much more all carved aside of ur plate while u hold the tongs to catch ur.meat as it's being carved. The there was a buffet of sides that were also nothing less than AMAZING!. EVERYTHING touched with love and care. nnd then there's theCHOCOLATE MOUSSE....TO DIE FOR. So light and creamy with a chunk of homage white and milk chocolate to garnish. It's not the kind of restaurant were use to but it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY.25$ ALL U CAN EAT.OR BUY BY THE POUND.
