Amazing Donuts and Kolaches — Restaurant in Longview

The quality of their donuts, kolaches, has to be the best from what I’ve been tasting around this great state of Texas. Cost is practically the same cost as other shops with a better dough. It’s all about the dough right? So my dough will always be spent at amazing donuts. Boudin sausage kolaches are mind blowing. I prefer a little spice in my life, but I’m for sure they’re non spicy anything also hits the spot. You want bang for your buck, this is where I would go. Quality over quantity any day. With the way our economy is now, and for this donut shop to keep bringing quality goodness by not cheating out to save a buck. Amazing Donuts and Kolaches will always be my pit stop. If I’m traveling out of the city, I’ll buy boxes for each morning that I’ll be out the city. Their product will last days, pop it in the warmer and get on. I have a double sided review, the food is good, the people are very nice but when I paid for my food is where I give zero stars and will Not return to this place again. I paid with a debit card which the man at the register took my card and ran it through the scanner because there is no scanner available for customer use. The total on the register said $19 and some change, the receipt I was given said the total was $20.45, then I get a notification on my phone informing me that a charge of $24.54 was charged to my card. They had added their own tip amount and did not inform me nor did I approve this. I walked in and got my food, I am not tipping a donut shop, yet they ripped themselves and basically stole from me with this action. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS FROM THIS PLACE..I WILL NEVER RETURN AND IF I HAD TIME TO GO BACK I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MY UNAUTHORIZED TIP BACK. I LOVE this donut shop! My boyfriend and I started going here when we first started dating and loved the donuts and kolaches right away. We continued to go there anytime we wanted donuts, including lots of dates. The sweet couple who runs the shop started to get to know us, and always was so friendly when we came in. I just moved away from Longview and I think it is one of the top places I'll miss.
