Southern Classic Chicken — Restaurant in Longview

Update: ITS BEEN A YEAR AND WE TRIED THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND THE FRIED CHICKEN IS STILL NASTY! OVER FRIED AND SO SALTY!! MASHED POTATOES WERE TASTELESS AND WATERY!! WE WILL NEVER TRY THIS LOCATION IN LONGVIEW AGAIN. First visit Review: I really wanted to like this location. The TYLER, TX location has been our spot for years. We are now closer to this one and thought we'd drive the 35mins to eat there. I got a 3 piece mix. They gave me a thigh that was cut in half so I got the fried bone part. I don't know why they'd even tried to serve that part. You could tell it was just the boney part of the thigh and then a dried out leg. The breast was good. The roll was dried out also. When we tried to go back to the window to ask for better chicken and for spoons and the lady motioned us to go back through the drive thru. We told her why if we had our food and the line was long. She signed that the window was closed. We wanted to eat in the parking lot since the trip home was over 30mins away. Why did she just stand there looking at us and the other 2 were on their phones?! I have to say the rest of our food was good but the CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED!! and for that reason only we won't be back. I rather drive to Tyler where they treat the customers like family. If an order is not right they should make it right. It's PAID for and we should get what we PAY for....this is why businesses are closing down. People don't care to treat paying customers...

Placed my order the drive-thru. After I paid for my order I was told that I would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes. Usually they tell you before you pay. I asked do I receive a drink or an extra piece of chicken for having to wait. I was told I could get an apple pie. I stated I don't eat apple pies. I really would like a cup of cold water. They suggested that I don't drink the water. I asked what do they suggest I drink? They offered me a Fanta Strawberry drink. I explained to the workers that I was from Shreveport born & raised home of the 1st Southern Classic Chicken. When customers have to wait half an hour something is offered for waiting. The chicken was hot & crispy, fries were fresh & hot. The rolls are not the original but they will do. It was worth the wait. The grease needs to be changed. I would recommend this Southern Classic, just don't go if you are hungry & don't want to wait for the cook to marinate & flour...

Southern Classic Longview has the WORST and I mean WORST customer service. After getting my order wrong and me getting home to notice it , I called and told them what happened and whoever answered the phone apologized and told me to come back so they could remake the order. Which is logical right ? Well that’s NOT what happened. When my husband goes back for them to fix it all they do is give him the fries that was missing instead of making the entire order all over to be fresh. The polite thing to do would be to offer fresh hot food to make the mess up on their part better. I will NEVER go back to this location. Then when you want to speak to a manager they tell you a manager doesn’t work at night. There is no supervision for the night crew. THIS IS WHY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD AND ORDERS AREN’T CORRECT BECAUSE THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL THEY WANT WITH NO...
