Not gonna lie. I pulled into this Carl’s Jr. because I had to use the bathroom and Taco Bell’s lobby was closed.
I’ve never gone to a Carl’s Jr. expecting to get my socks knocked off, but that’s exactly what happened here.
The lady at the front was kind, respectful, and welcoming. She sensed that I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, and called my attention to a California Classic burger as it was their current featured deal. I took her advice even though I don’t usually go for Thousand Island dressing so I asked them to go light on the sauce and extra pickles.
I then went to use the restroom which was clean and tidy, washed my hands, and by the time I was out and filled-up my soda, my food had maybe a minute left ‘til it was done which gave me time to take-in the awesome Longview-specific art and decor emphasizing the local price of the restaurant.
The food then came out and the manager himself handed it to me, re-bringing up ketchup as I had mentioned it prior, throwing 3 or 4 packs on my tray and being thoughtful enough to ask if I needed more. It was the perfect amount of ketchup, so I said I was good, sat down and ate.
The burger was hot where it should be hot, and the cold fresh ingredients tasted cold and fresh. The burger had the charred-flavor Carl’s Jr. is famous for, and the fries were perfectly long shoelaces that were hot but not too hot and salted to perfection.
In 2023, where customer service is at an all-time low, I felt more taken care of by the people in this Carl’s Jr then many expensive restaurants with paid wait-staff have made me feel, and at a fraction of the price.
This Carl’s Jr. is literally a remarkable experience. I went and spoke to the manager to shake his hand, and he let me know that he’s a neighbor to me down south where I live. He was kind and appreciative of the feedback and obviously is personally vested in this location. 10/10. Highly...
Read morePricing is about par with other fast food in the area. Service is reasonably quick, and improving with each visit. They do a great job of balancing speed and efficiency against quality of service and a friendly atmosphere. Very impressive for such a new restaurant.
Quality control seems to be several notches above other local fast food, so far no errors in our orders after several visits. The food has been consistently hot and neatly packaged.
I usually order to go, so I'm not well acquainted with the interior, but from what I can see it's very clean and orderly.
The staff is what kicked the rating to 5 stars. They've ranged from polite and professional to highly accommodating and openly friendly.
The only minor complaint I have is the layout of the drive through. There's not a lot of room to queue up cars and it's awkward to get into. I typically just park and walk in, which would probably be more annoying if the staff were...
Read moreVery unorganized. We went through the drive thru, placed our order and were asked to pull around front to wait for our order. No big deal, this is common with busy drive thru's. We waited for almost 10 minutes, which is a bit long for fast food drive thru, but the kicker was their clear lack of any system fro knowing who had ordered what, and the order in which customers had none through the drive thru. The gal came out and went to two other cars, both of whom had come through the line after us, trying figure out who's order she had. To top it off, she's rummaging around with hands, through the bags, to determine what was in them. As much as I like Carl's Jr food, I will hesitate to go back, simply based on service. I gave three stars, and not lower, because the food was good, and maybe the had a bunch of new people that were learning. I'll give them the benefit...
