I do not like to give bad reviews, and I am quite flexible and forgiving, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone based on the food. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so being slammed could not be the excuse to screw up my order almost completely. I ordered something simple, the Chicken Bowl, and here is what I got: the "golden fried chicken" was tiny tiny strips of chicken, which were stringy and tough, in over-used standard chicken fry breading (most of these little "strips" were breading, the dry chicken was absent in a major way)/the potatoes were almost cold/the did not give me the dang gravy, not on top or on the side (which makes this dish pointless)/they put cheese on it, for some F'ed up reason, which was not included in the items description on the menu, and I cannot eat cheese, so again, WTF. This is not what I ordered, and it is such a simple thing to make, and the ingredient quality was pathetic and almost insulting. Maybe the restaurant should find new cooks who can follow simple recipes and make the food to order. I will not go back here again, and I would not recommend this place to...
Read moreI have eaten a couple of meals here. Staff is friendly. I have never seen an ad for it but it always had people in it. Waitress Sally recommended the fish fillet, which was really good. She said people have it for breakfast all the time, which makes sense because their standard breakfast is only like $5! It was lightly breaded and perfectly fried. Delicate flavor, not fishy. I will have this from now on. Sunny side up eggs were perfect. You can have swirl rye bread on the side with breakfast. They have real hash browns, not "our take on hash browns." I had the cinnamon swirl pancake, which is caramelized on the griddle. Unique. The picture is the one I took to my boy and he gave it a rare "thumbs up, very good." It is funny that people wait in line at the Wendy's in front of this hidden gem when there is a better burger inside. So it was all good. I have to mention the fish filet again. I did not see it on the menu, so it may be limited quantities. Waitress may recommend this to you to when they have it, in which case, get it, even if you are not a fish person, because I am not. Place is a...
Read moreNice cozy local mom and pop breakfast/lunch restaurant. Never thought about or considered this plaza until I was searching for breakfast places on Google Maps.... this place popped up.
Food was reasonably priced and service was quick. Portion size was appropriate. I personally liked how food had just enough salt (I have high cholesterol and removing salt is always a pain!) - I did note another reviewer complained about not enough seasoning..... The rule is, it is always easier to add salt than to take out salt!!! One thing of note - a lot of religious slogans/decorations on the walls. Can be a turn off for some. Personally draw the line at decorations being ok, but if you push religion either in conversation or as "free literature" , that is an instant DQ for me. Thanks for not doing that.
That said, will likely be back, both for speed, value and friendliness of staff. Appreciate you all ! See...
