Amruta Vilas Indian Cafe is truly a hidden gem! The moment you step in, you can feel the warmth and dedication of the all-women team running this place with so much passion. Their food tastes like it’s straight from home — fresh, authentic, and full of love.
The dosa here is hands down the best I have ever eaten in the USA — unbelievably fresh, perfectly crisp, and packed with flavor. It reminded me of the kind of dosa you only get in South India. I also tried the morchi bajji, and it instantly took me back home with its authentic South Indian taste.
What makes this place stand out even more is the attention to quality, hygiene, and consistency. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell they prioritize serving food that’s wholesome and safe.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines authenticity, passion, and quality in every bite — but Amruta Vilas delivers all of that and more. I would highly recommend this place to anyone craving true South Indian flavors. A must-visit cafe that deserves every bit of...

The food is very authentic and cooked in what the owners describe as 'homestyle' - reminiscent of home cooked food. I think the description is extremely accurate and if you are ever craving Dosa, Idli, Indian style tea/coffee or any other South Indian dish, I highly recommend giving Amruta Vilas a shot.
We tried the Ghee Karam Dosa and a regular Ghee Dosa and they were both fantastic, the Ghee Karam was spicy, crispy and soft. Further, it's not just a Ghee Podi Dosa which I thought it was but instead had some sort of chutney/paste spread out on the inside that was really tasty.
