Update I gave this place a third try after giving them the 1 star review below when they messed up our order a second time This third attempt I spoke to Patricia (manager) and explained what had happened and how dissapointed I was since we really do love their food. After apologizing, she asked me to call her after placing my order if I decided to give them another try to make sure our order was prepared correctly and since then, we have not had a problem.

I am changing my review to 5 star because she has been nothing but helpful and kind. She truly does care. Yes, it's inconvenient to have to call and babysit my order every time I place one but now, I even look forward to saying hello and finding out how shes doing. If you run into any problems with your order, please do not hesitate to reach out to them and ask to speak to a manager. They care...or at least Patricia does!

The owners of Rookie's Cantina are lucky to have you managing their business. I hope they acknowledge that and are grateful for you and all you do! We are!

old review/no lo get validDO NOT waste your time ordering take out from this place. The first time they gave us refried beans (made with animal stock) on 2 vegetarian burritos. We also asked for no jalapeños and they still put jalapeños. Upon calling them they apologized but did nothing else. Tonight we decided to try once more. We specified that we wanted black beans (we had been told they are vegetarian) and checked off the box asking for the green sauce on the side. We received our order after 90mins of wait and one burrito was overstuffed with broccoli the other barely had any veggies and neither had green sauce on the side.. I called then and after being placed on hold twice they asked I'd I wanted to go pick up the sauce.. I explained that if I could I would've done that instead but Uber Eats was my only option at the time.. The woman on the phone said..."ok, so what do you want us to do?" These people have NO IDEA what customer service is and blatantly show you, with no shame, how much they DON'T CARE about getting things wrong. Even when they've messed up an order for a customer for a SECOND time in a row. It's really a shame that they handle their own mistakes this way cause the food tastes good and we'd be weekly clients...if only they would get things right or just bother to show that they care about messing up a delivery order things would be different. Oh and on both occasions...there wasn't a manager that was willing to get on the phone and handle...

This is truly an ABSOLUTE "Hidden" Treasure!!!! My boyfriend and I went there to eat tonight. When I first walked in, I noticed it was very clean, eye appealing, and the mood was extremely relaxed. Perfect after a rough long day. The very next thing I noticed was a smiling face greeting me asking how many were in our party. We also had our 5 month old in a car seat. So she jokingly said "two and a half?". She brought us to our seats and that's when I got a little worried because we were the only ones in the entire restraunt and maybe that's why they are being overly nice...... and before we could sit the bartender and/or manager brought over a high chair and offered different ways to make us all comfortable. The hostess ends up being our server and as she is taking our drink order (by the way they have great specials on drinks and happy hour)the bartender/owner brought chips and salsa to the table in such a timely manner we didn't have a chance to ask. Not only that but she even brought out her favorite sauce for us to try for fun and it was delicious. Perfect. We then looked at the alcohol menu and she was so helpful and even bent the rules for us with absolutely no hesitation. Perfect. I ordered the chicken queso dias with chicken, peppers, onions and cheese and it came with rice, refried beans, lettuce, Pico Salsa and sour cream. My boyfriend got chicken and steak fajitas with peppers and onions $9.99 portion and his also came with rice, refried beans, lettuce, Pico Salsa and sour cream. I will say that the food did take a pretty long time to come out. However, it was well worth the wait. Absolutely the best Mexican food I've had. Huge dishes and portions. however, I think they could have been a little more generous with the rice and the beans and it would have been perfect. The food was hot, it tasted so fresh. More people started coming in but I thought to myself "why is this place not packed?!?".....and then I thought "do I really want the word to get out because then it will be a wait trying to eat here". I think once you try this place, you will be as blown away as we were and get more people to support this business and...

We have driven by this place many times. Kept meaning to try it. Finally today my wife mentioned it and I thought what the heck.

If you have not been go, if you have then go again. This place is great.

The chips and salsa you get when you are seated are excellent quality and taste.

We started with the nachos, full size with ground beef. These were excellent. The ground beef was perfectly cooked. It was not sloppy and it was not dry. The jalapenos were the best I have ever had on it.

Then came her soup the chicken tortilla. It was a perfect balance of flavors. She got the cup and it was still huge. The broth was so rich and delicious I regretted not getting my own.

Then came the meals. She got the pick 2 combo, a beef enchilada with tomatillo sauce and a cheese quesadilla. The enchilada was prepared well, not sloppy with sauce but not dry. Great flavor. The quesadilla was perfectly prepared with lots of cheese.

For my meal I got the pick 3 since I skipped the soup. A chicken taco on soft flour shell, chicken enchilada with tomatillo sauce and chicken quesadilla. The taco was great, the lettuce was fresh and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe. It was nice and juicy like the tacos I use to get in Texas. The enchilada was good. The quesadilla was perfect. The tortilla was toasted the perfect amount and had excellent flavor. A slight buttery taste to it also.

We both agreed on the rice and beans that came with the meal. The rice was excellent, not dry not soggy, with a good flavor profile. The refried beans were not like ones we had before. We enjoyed them.
