Visited on a Saturday evening. It was busy of course and the restaurant doesn't take reservations. Put name on list at 6:35pm and was told it'd be 45 minute wait. Ok. Was told at some point we'd be seated at a table for two, then overheard a server tell the hostess not to seat anyone at the table because they needed to use the chairs. The server took both chairs and returned with one. Went up and asked about the table and was told they needed another chair for it. My guest did comment why were we told we'd be seated at a certain table, just to have them take a chair away from it? We continued to wait and were seated at approximately 7:30pm. When the manager/owner walked by each table to check on the patrons, he stopped at our table. He mentioned that he looked at the wait list and we were only waiting for 30 minutes. My guest and myself both stated that wasn't true, we'd been waiting longer than that. Plus we'd initially been told the wait was 45 minutes; why would we say anything about a time under the 45? Then he said that we could've always asked for some bread; that eating a little bread can be calming. I'm thinking what? He then went on to say that sometimes God wants us in certain places at different times/longer times. My goodness. Honestly, this rubbed my guest and myself the wrong way. He could have easily just said, I'm so sorry about the wait, it's so busy tonight. We're trying to seat everyone as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience, we're glad you're dining with us tonight. But no. Plus, really? He basically came over to our table for the sole purpose to tell us he personally checked the list and we were wrong? Yuck. We started with half of an onion brick that came with bbq dipping sauce. It was good but the closer you got to the middle of the onion brick, the onions were a tad mushy. I had the bbq chicken, sauteed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. It was good. My guest had fried shrimp and mac and cheese. The shrimp was over fried, a dark brown color. While a mac and cheese fan, she hardly ate any here. We ordered two cocktails, a classic margarita and a blackberry bramble. Both cocktails were ok.

Called ahead because the Groupon said to make sure to make reservations the hostess said no reservation needed for a Saturday but when we mentioned the Groupon she said she put our names down. when we got there the hostess then said she would add our name to the top of the list. she sat four tables before us and was accompanied by three other hostesses and waitresses it was a mess watching her seat every buddy was terrible she was cutting people off pushing them bumping into them and had no Hostess etiquette at all. once we were seated we were visited by the manager at our table more times than the waitress. the food was delicious but I could have done without the manager telling me that I shouldn't have ordered the appetizer I picked and that I should have ordered my meat medium rare instead of just medium. nobody wants to feel like they need to second-guess their own food decisions. the bananas Foster's was hyped up but not the best. I really enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes, garlic spinach, asparagus, mac and cheese, tri-tip and beef St Louis ribs the fried onion brick was pretty cool couldn't finish the whole thing though. Pretty good selection of wines but the Groupon wine glass was not the same size as a regular glass and did not have a whole lot of wine thought it was kind of cheap to do that.

I was at Madera's Steak & Ribs yesterday afternoon. When I walked in, I found the restaurant a bit dark and had to adjust my eyesight. First, we were served water by a gentleman without greeting us. Then came our server. She greeted us with a smile but did not introduce herself. I told her that I had a voucher and she asked if we had been there before and if we knew how the voucher worked, l said no, it's our first time. She proceeded to tell us that the voucher included one appetizer, choice of meat with two sides, one drink each and one dessert for two. We ordered a beer that's paired with a slice of orange. The beer was served without the orange slices. I asked a server that was walking by for orange slices, and she said ok. After 10 minutes, I walked to the bar area and asked for the orange slices myself. The food was good, but the highlight of the dinner was the Chocolate Explosion dessert. The restaurant was packed, and this may attribute to my negative comments. I may be back and hope to have a better review.

My husband and I went today for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was really nice! The server was really attentive despite juggling 3+ tables and was super quick! I got the BBQ plate with mash potatoes and Mac n cheese. It was overall really good! The portions were great for the price and quality. I just was disappointed in the beef rib and Mac n cheese, the beef rib had good flavor but hardly any meat, the Mac n cheese was watery with what seemed to be American cheese? The macaroni was salted nicely and it was cooked to al dente. My husband had the fried shrimp, and was happy with his food! The shrimp was clean tasting and was fried nicely. For our dessert we had the banana fosters, and mmm mmm mm! It was good, it was a big portion too. Some of the bananas were chewy but most of them were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. I would love to come back

They only had outdoor seating to offer but the weather was nice who cares. Parking was super easy thanks to COVID-19. The service was very good, professional in every way. I had the Try Tip with mashed potatoes with a nice salad out first. A basket of bread came out before my salad and it was some of the best bread that I’ve had in quite a while, loved the bread. The salad was good with a nice presentation. When it comes to Try-Tip though.......... I’ve had much better, I didn’t finish it all off and I didn’t bring the rest with me. The mashed potatoes would have been better with some pepper but they don’t leave the pepper shakers out anymore. I’d go back because the rest of the menu looks interesting. This looks like it would be a cool place to UBER to and have a few drinks. BatesX3 from Kansas City would go back to Maderas Steak & Ribs.

Even though it was Father's day weekend I have nothing but praise for this place. Service was good. It pushed excellent and probably would have been but with the overwhelming crowd they performed above what would have been expected. The bartender was on the money. We ordered a few mixed drinks that could be just thrown together but whomever mixed them did well. The food came out quickly and was very well prepared. The highlights were the Argentinean steak, salmon and sweet potatoes. What stole the show though was the tri tip. Seasoned enough for flavor but not over done. The best part of it was the tenderness, something that tri tip is not known for, this one should be. Very well done. Prices are a little on the high side, even for today's restuarants but at least you will get what you are paying for. Enjoy.
