Birrieria Lupita #1 — Restaurant in Los Angeles

the food was amazing! Overpriced if I may say. Just for two people we spend over $56. The chips were stale, waiter only checked on us once since we had ordered we were there for about 30-40mins, when we asked the waiter for our check he never came back he went to do other things from what we could see ordering food for other people (I think they’re short staffed?) we waited and waited until we decided to get up to the counter their was someone ahead of us then she left and the person behind the counter also left we waited there another 5-10mins. Then someone came back waited again for them to calculate how much it was. I need a box to go & when we came back to our table the guy was trying to throw away the food that was on the table since they were cleaning up & my bf had to run to tell them we’re taking it to go.

Food was amazing, I just don’t like waiting especially since we were in a rush & it wasn’t as busy as it was when we first go there.

I don’t think I recommend it to people just because of the long period wait time. but if you’re not in a rush give it a try food was good & the drinks. Just chips were stale & the salsa for the chips...

Nasty place first and last time! We went and as soon as we got there the lady “greeting” had an attitude she sat us down we ordered and when the food was brought to everyone else but me she mentioned to me your food is going to take longer because we noticed when we were warming up the food it was spoiled So we are making a fresh batch I said ok confused as to why she would tell me such information. Then as I am forcing my self to eat not having an appetite after she tells me the food was spoiled I found a hair inside the meat and was completely disgusted at this point. We mentioned it to her and she rudely answered we can either give you another plate or reimburse you half the money I told her I did not want another item in their menu and didn’t feel it was fair I payed for the food and I still payed half the plate of which I did not eat and they charge 5 dollars for a soda! The worst part is they didn’t even the decency to apologize they got mad at the fact that it was...

Being my first time here it was a big dissapointment, birria is one of my favorite dishes. I had to order their birria de chivo plate(with rice and beans). The meat was tender, but taste nothing like birria should IMO. The little bit of broth the meat had, had no flavor at all, and they put a sauce on top of the meat which only made it worse. The restaurant is unorganized, you seat yourself in any table you find open. We waited like 10 mins for a table to open up, and sat down before anyone walking in beat us to it. Took the staff a while to get the table cleaned, after ordering we waited about 45 mins for our food to come out. Just to realize that they had messed up on our order, we had ordered a menudo as well, but never received it(table next to us ordered a menudo as well and our menudo was given to them???). Price is not too bad for portions, but I will not be returning here. Parking is free on the lot behind...
