I have heard alot of hype about this place so we decided to give this place a try and see if it lived up to it. Well..I heard it was gonna be a long wait so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that we were already placing our order at the counter within 30 minutes. There happened to be a couple just ahead of us that also said it was their first time so today was a good day for them too. We got to the counter and placed our order for a turkey, avocado and provolone sandwich with a side of macaroni salad and 2 (805) tall cans. This is a market so they do not have any place to sit down and eat it...Soo; Here is how it went down once paid for our items. We took said items down the hill to a beach park setting and quickly unpacked it all. The bread was super fresh and the turkey was freshly cut into thick slices. The portion was admirable but wait; The taste. First bite was juicy and flavorful and messy. We both stopped all coherent conversation in replacement for a serious of harmonious mmmms. All in all; I WILL BE BACK. I would've waited over an hour for this thing and I can see why people do. Good job guys! Oh.. BTW; I also bought one of there tank tops to commemorate this day. Worth it! This thing will fill you up for sure but whilst we were in the area we also hit up BUONOS PIZZA. I am reviewing this place right after I put this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSandwiches are huge and tasty enough. I have had better tasting sandwiches but not at this size and price, which is why I am a bit torn between a 4 and 5 star review. One sandwich is just too much for a single person, especially if you want a side. Pair up with someone who wants the same sandwich or split a belly buster with someone and this may be the perfect spot for you. Service is fast and friendly, but is hit and miss with the lines. I was there around 1pm on a Monday and line was short when I got there, but was out the door as I left. I guess I was lucky. Parking is the same. I was able to park close by on the street, but wasnāt a spot near by when I left. I think the combination of bread and meat is the key here. The bread is very soft and soaks up the meat juices, so it goes well with beef sandwiches with au jus and the meatball was pretty good as well. I didnāt enjoy the corned beef side as much nor do I think I would have liked the torpedo, since I prefer rye bread with my corned beef and chewy Italian bread for my submarine/torpedo sandwiches.
Definitely someplace I would go back when in the area, but only if Iām very hungry or have a friend that can agree to the same sandwich to split. Time it right so you donāt wait too long and it could be a five...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe heard so much about this place that we decided to give it a try. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and my wife ordered the Veggie Sandwich. We took them to a nearby park to eat them and boy, were we surprised. My wife's veggie sandwich hardly had any vegetables. It only had a few tomatoes, pickles, cheese, onions and some lettuce. The surprising factor was the avocado spread. This means NO AVOCADOS just some smearing of it like butter and not even across the whole sandwich. Plus, she got sick from it! My Hot BBQ Chicken Sandwich was just a mess. Everything began to fall apart before I could finish it. The sauce wasn't that great and I got sick too! I will not return to this place. SubWay beats this place hands down!!! There are to many workers making sandwiches who don't know what they're doing. Instead of working and finding out what the customer needs in their sandwich...etc., they would just joke around and have a good time while other people are waiting to be served. This was very unprofessional. Again, I will...
