Cake Bash Studio — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I had a very disappointing experience with Cake Bash recently. I had booked a tasting over the phone and called twice to confirm the appointment. On the day of the tasting, I arrived with the birthday girl, excited to try their cakes. However, the visit started off poorly. The manager of the smoke shop next door came out and circled my car, demanding that I leave or I would be towed. Despite the limited parking spaces, I moved my car and went back into Cake Bash for our tasting.

Upon entering, we were asked to sign in with our email, and the staff informed us about the prices, which start at $130 for a cake. I was fine with the pricing and ready to proceed. However, what happened next was truly shocking. The woman at the counter told us that if we wanted to taste anything, we would have to purchase it and eat it at home. I was taken aback by this policy. I had clearly communicated that we were coming in for a tasting, and I did not expect to have to explain what a tasting entails to the owner of the shop.

This lack of clear communication and poor customer service left a bad impression. I had anticipated a professional and welcoming experience, especially after confirming our appointment twice. Instead, we were met with confusion and an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs

I ordered a cake for my son's fourth birthday and gave detailed instructions, including a picture for reference. What I received was an absolute disaster. The cake looked nothing like the design I provided—it was placed in a flimsy, cheap cardboard box and arrived completely messed up. To make matters worse, the taste was so terrible that it was inedible.

I had to scramble at the last minute to find another cake for the party, which was incredibly stressful. While mistakes can happen, what shocked me the most was the appalling way I was treated by their manager. Instead of addressing my concerns, they were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They refused to issue any refund, ignored my emails, and showed zero empathy for the frustration they caused.

This place lacks basic customer service and decency. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this bakery if you care about quality or being treated...

Went to this place and ordered the unicorn cupcake! All of my families members love it so much! The kids were really happy with this very cute unicorn cupcake! The cake bash studio also have so many other kind of beautiful cake and they are unique and special, and very impressive and beautiful! The sweetness was ok for us, it wasn't too sweet but it was yummy. And the rainbow color cream was really smooth and soft, also the white chocolate as flowers were also my favorite! I love this place, my birthday is coming and i am definitely are going to order a birthday cake at this place. The server at cake bash studio are really nice and welcoming. They really helped me a lot, you know because they have so many choices at there store sometimes you just don't know which one you should pick lol anyway this cake bash studio is my favorite cake place ever..... shout out to cake...
