I love coffee and pastries! I was so excited to find out that they were opening another shop out in Palms/Culver City.
The location is not ideal since it's located on a busy street (Motor Ave) across from a school. However, I liked the decor on the inside and there's several tables, chairs and bar seating.
The service was great! I was greeted warmly by the gentleman at the counter.
I ordered my usual Latte which was great! And I had to ask for a recommendation on the pastries since they all looked amazing! He told me to try their Gluten-Free Chocolate Olive Oil Cake. Wow it was delicious!! :) It was so moist, chocolatey and tasty. I was very impressed! It was the first time I ever tried a gluten-free product and I was very pleased with it. It wasn't too rich at all and had a nice sweetness to it.
The only downside to this place is the parking. You have to try to find a meter on the main street or down the residential streets. Make sure to read the street signs too.
FYI, it may be a bit pricey for some people but you get your money's worth in quality and taste!

Not every time but often, staff have been incredibly stuck up, slow, made the wrong order, and biased or capricious about how they treat customers. If they know the customer in front of you they will talk for five minutes instead of moving the line along. If they don't know you they will get your order wrong because they're still talking to the person who ordered before you.
Two baristas have real 'grad student on Twitter' vibes for no reason, and I'm saying that as a progressive voter all my life. They say things that are casually but genuinely bigoted against men, cis people and straight people. That's what I've heard in two out of six visits. So when I see other reviews here also complaining about bigotry (in their cases, race), it's time to say...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was talking to this guy I had met off of a dating site and we agreed to meet for the first time here. It was raining that day and I had an exam the next day and decided to go there a few hours early so I could study up until the moment he arrived. While I studied I drank a Cubano (which was delicious and had wonderful hints of cinnamon with just the perfect amount of foam). took advantage of the free wifi and got my study on. There were ample places to sit on a Thursday afternoon with a wonderful view of the street so you could people watch or just observe the beautiful day. When my date arrived he got a latte and I decided to get a dark roasted Pour Over coffee that got me amped as hell later on. While my date was a major flop, this coffee joint is certainly not. The prices are very reasonable, the service is fast, and the environment is great for talking to friends, enjoying some "you time," studying, and yes,...
