Probably have driven past this place a hundred times and never noticed it. Thanks Yelpers for the heads up!

Dark Horse is a pretty standard bar, but with good food by bar standards (probably not quite gastropub, but very tasty nonetheless). I tried the Evil Burger, which is a burger topped with pastrami and a parmesan crisp. It was very tasty, although I do like my burgers a bit pink in the middle, so next time I will be sure to ask them to cook it less (the bartender never asked how done I wanted it ... lesson learned).

Good selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles, and they had a couple of infused liquor concoctions on the bar that I didn't try (this visit).

There are a lot of other very tempting "bar food" sort of items on the menu (pork belly tacos, mac and cheese with brisket, poutine, so I could definitely see coming back and working through more of the menu.

I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that under-21s are welcome before 10 PM as long as they don't sit at the bar. I know a certain teenager who could destroy one of those burgers!

The service was a bit spotty. My first server took forever to take my drink order, even though it wasn't terribly busy in the restaurant, then I had to ask to order food. Things were not going well to say the least. While I was waiting for my order, he changed out with a new bartender (Stacy I think). Stacy finally asked me how long I had been waiting for my food, and I said a long time. She checked, and he had never put the order in. She was on top of it, and got my order out quickly. She was also very apologetic. Her attitude and her hustle made up for the first guy, and turned what could have been an awful one-star experience into a pleasant evening. ...

I had another amazing visit to Dark Horse, such a great place for happy hour. The Tequila cocktail from Stacy, Tequila Mule, was absolutely delicious. They've got a DJ and karaoke and trivia on the weekends. Looking forward to going to their upcoming art shows. A great place for live music as well. She told me so about their Halloween party plans and how they're going to be having a theme from Dodgeball, probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. I love the open wall patio, really a great touch. The beer and whiskey selection is really on point as well. This is my new favorite place to go in Tarzana. A she recommended the crispy chicken sliders and they were really good with the aioli sauce. It felt great to get such a warm welcome upon arrival as well. Stacy was kind enough to recommend the Maui Sugar Mill, so helpful going way above and beyond to make sure my experience was exceptional. I have absolutely no complaints at all I highly recommend everyone to check this place out for a truly...

I walked in casually one day after work to get a quick beer since it's located near my home. The bartender came out and greeted me right away. He offered me any open seat of my choosing (it wasn't busy). I went in around 1 pm on a Friday, got an IPA on tap which was great. The bartender was very speedy and he also handed me a lunch menu when he sat me down. I went with their BLT sandwich that came with a side of fried, the food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely very good.

I stopped by a second time and had a great experience. I tried their "devilish eggs" I believe they're called, and they were amazing! I doubted them by their look, they were a little pink, but it didn't matter since they were great.

Overall it's a clean, organized and welcoming spot. They will be seeing a...

Karaoke bar on Saturday nights. Valley mature crowd, mixed nationalities diverse age range. The environment and atmosphere is better than most reseda area bars, it’s still not a hip or upscale vibe. It’s great for karaoke since there’s at least 3 screens in different directions to read when singing. Also the Mike is a good volume and filtered enough with the background vocals that everyone sounds decent enough to enjoy. Didn’t have any good but didn’t want to down rate for something I didn’t try. My drink only cost $7 which was oddly cheap. I didn’t see a Parking lot so parked on the street. Waiters were ok. Overall I give it a 4 star,

Cute little place on Reseda, went during Halloween time and they had fun, creepy decorations. Got the Chicken sliders & House fries with maple ketchup and cholula aoli. The food was simple but good, really liked the Cholula aoli sauce. I know its a bar but i wish the portions were a little bigger.. Staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice, had fun watching people do karaoke.
