I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, but sadly, I think this may be my last visit. What started as a place with amazing food and countless memories seems to have lost its magic. Hopefully, I’m wrong, but after tonight, I’m not sure I’ll be back. I ordered the Shrimp fajitas and steak, and my wife had the Caldo de Rez. The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The flavors that once made this place special just weren’t there. The beans were ok, but everything else felt underwhelming. The fajitas and shrimp lacked seasoning, the beef was overcooked, and the caldo tasted like it had been sitting too long. Even the horchata was overly sweet. Service was just okay, and while it was busy, it seemed like they were struggling to keep up. This place used to be a favorite – I remember the vibrant flavors and those unforgettable drinks that made for so many good times here. Now, it feels like the magic is gone, perhaps due to new ownership or a change in the kitchen. I can only hope this was just an off night, and they’ll return to the quality that kept me coming back for so many years. To the team here: prove me wrong. Show me that this was just one bad experience, that the legacy lives on, and the flavors can come back. I want to believe it, but if not, this is goodbye.

Omg i can never go to another restarant again!!!! This is tip top!!! The fooooooodddd uuuuuuufffffffssshhhhhhh soooo BOMB!!!! There are no words to describe it. Home cooked food for the SOUL!!!! U can never compare ur own moms food with anyone elses..... but damn here i can say its like my mom is cooking with love! From the perfect Horchata to the best chile rellenos and the AGUA CHILES!!!!! OMG!!!! Yes!!!! Was going to take my man to casa torres but after this i cant!!! It will never compare! And the service is matched up with the food. They checked on us many times. They have a coconut margarita to die for. This is now and forever my go to place in Sylmar!! 😄😄😄

This was my 1st time here I don't like going places that are too close to home but this was recommended by a great chef the service was a not too good the food was great however I did have to send it back and ask for it to be done the way it was on the menu they played live music which was nice the environment is also nice the décor is nice. The parking situation is not too good other than that it's OK

My family and I decided to have brunch at this place on Saturday September 25 we were seated at 9:40AM it took them 5 minutes to offer something to drink. It took them 10 additional minutes to take our order. This is where things got bad. There were other customers that arrived when our order was being taken and about fifteen minutes after they had their food and drinks. Well I got irritated and my wife who doesn't really complain asked the server about our food, the server said she would go and find out what was going on, She came back and said that the order had been placed in the wrong order but they were now working on it. ten minutes past and three orders arrived five minutes past and two more orders arrived however my youngest kid had not received her order so my wife asked the server and the server went to the kitchen and came back saying the order for my kid was never placed. It was now 10:35 AM and my kid's order finally arrived through out the entire time they only asked once if we needed more soda. Take into account that they were not busy when we arrived the server blamed the kitchen instead of telling us she had made a mistake. On top of all of this, as we got ready leave another server arrived to the table with a plate with some churros and whipped cream supposedly as a thank you. Honestly this was more of an insult to us. We are fortunate enough not to need free stuff from inept people besides having expensive food, the service is the worst I have ever experienced. There are many other Méxican places here in the valley with much better quality of food and by far better service. I hope your experience is...

9 of us went to Tarasco and it was bad, ordered ice tea that I never received, asked for a house salad but they had no dressing, my sister ordered menudo little meat alot of hamony, for health reasons, they gave her a bowl of all meat no hamony, they placed two plates on our table and I thought someone ordered a appetizer, I ate a shrimp with my fingers as did my brother in law, waitress came back took the plates saying there some other table and went and gave them the plates we had used or fingers to eat shrimps, disgusting, menudo finally arrives with cold hamony in separate bowl, the worst experience and when we told the waitress she didn't seem to care, never going back, imagine strangers sticking their fingers in your food before you receive the food and waitress did not care, bet that is not the first time Tarasco has done that. Forgot to.mention my wife ordered a chicken taco they gave her a potato taco. She said let me eat so we can get out of here, called and talked to the lady in charge she was aware of the problem because someone from our party had already called no come in and we will give the correct taco, nothing all she said was I will look at security tape, very cold, place is going down hill and...
