Live close by and finally decided to swing by. Cool vibe, staff was cool and friendly, good quality menu and food-which is slightly on the upper price side. Not your typical “bar-crowd”- it’s a good mix of people, there’s even a booth with a family with two young kids (which is interesting cause there’s a huge nfl game on and two tables down from them the people in the booth are dropping loud F-bombs in every other sentence). Good alternative if you don’t want the “dive-bar” thing. If you like sports, there’s TVs everywhere-I mean literally everywhere. I think I counted over 20 TVs in this one room and patio! There’s 2 friendly hosts that greeted me and showed me to the bar, where I requested to sit. Bar has huge granite countertop which gives it a welcoming “homey” vibe. Selection of beers and liquor isn’t missing much-I think they have the whole spectrum covered. There’s booths and hi-tables and even a little seating section to the side if you want a bit more conversational privacy. The little outside patio and its seating is also cute. I was about to give this place 5 stars but as of now it’s exactly 24 minutes since I ordered my breakfast burrito and I’m still waiting....and the place is not that busy. It’s now 27 minutes and still no burrito and I just inquired. Burrito is now here at the 31 minute mark. The manager personally brought it out and explained that my burrito accidentally went to another table. He was very sincere in his apology and offered a mimosa on the house an handled it very well which made me less cranky since I’m hungry :) The soyrizo burritos is excellent, I have to admit. I’ll be back as of now! I hope this place does well and sticks around as it offers good alternative. FYI-they offer...
Read moreHere's the thing: a good sports bar is GREAT to find. The magic combo of tasty food, quality TVs and good service is like a finding a unicorn. Not sure why but it seems like sports bar owners are neither competent chefs or savvy business people. And guess what? GA is no different...so sad. The TVs, check. They are awesome - almost too many! The foundational environment, check - airy, light, open - all good. Then they ruin the ambiance by turning the volume up to a level only the deaf could appreciate. They add a DJ and a commentator to play incredibly loud music during commercial breaks and repeat what the professional announcer are saying. Then, there's Hooka. Oh great, that is just what the doctor ordered - $60 Hooka. Let's talk food: I tried the Happy Hour offerings. The drink, a passion fruit margarita - eh - sour and not a drop of bartender finesse - preconceived. The fish tacos - eh: Their frying technique was pretty darn good but they put one strip of fish in a taco with fried pieces of flour in the bottom of the shell as if you would not notice the filler. Oh PUL-EASE! This is LA - food heaven - get yourself together and spend the extra dollar per taco to add real fish OR just don't put it on the Happy Hour. Positive: The burger looked good. Bottom line: So much potential wasted because of gimmicky extras. Capitalize on your location, space and TVs by adding really good food and drinks - Guarantee you will...
Read moreSo this was the first time I’ve been to this place so I thought what the heck let’s check it out for football. I walked in and set at a high top. A lady I am Assuming was the manager said the bartender will be right with you. Okay so I sat there and sat there. Meanwhile every server there walked pass me and did not say a work or asked if I needed anything. I might had had some contagious disease because it was horrible. Finally the same lady who told me that a bartender would help me walked by and I stop her to ask is anyone going to serve me. Meanwhile everyone else in the place has a drink in front of them or at least a glass of water.
Her response was no one has helped me? No no one. She told the bartender you have these tables and his response was “I was waiting for him to tell me he was ready” so I guess in this place you have to grab them when your ready because they don’t understand the word service.
So I had a beer order the breakfast burrito which was very good. But then waited to finally get a second beer. Guess it was not the bartender but the manager again. Then it took like 5 minutes to get me this beer. At this point I had given up on getting anything without going and dragging someone to help me.
Such a disappointment because this place is very nice inside and all the food that came out looked very good. But they do not care about service
