Today we had the Croque Madam and the Quiche Lorraine, which I have eaten plenty of places, and these were the best I've ever had. The Croque Madam was light and flakey, comforting, and satisfying. The Quiche was custardy and perfectly portioned filling, with a flakey croissant-style crust that surprised me by being even better than traditional pastry crust. The side of potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The mixed greens salad was fresh and the dressing was balanced. The espresso was dark, low in acidity, with notes of cocoa. Cappuccino with oat milk was perfectly foamy and generously portioned. The chocolate eclair was filled with a light chocolate custard and the outside was the right texture--not soggy at all like some places. The fruit tarts and other desserts are gorgeous and so flavorful with fresh fruit and fillings.
I also love that this is a family-owned place. Set I feel is kind and attentive. The decor is cute and quaint and yet also stylish and very clean.
This is the perfect place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or just to drop in and stock up on fresh bread and coffee and pastries to-go. You will feel like you are in Europe when you come here.

They hooked me up with a custom order with salmon and mushrooms. one bite of the potatoes was overwhelmingly good and everything after that is history! Each flavor stood out but blended in a way youll just have to experience for yourself. I can't wait to return and try some sweets!
Tomatoes were mild and sweet, not tart like i dislike. everything was herby and slightly salty but above all rich and flavorful but still mild and balanced. the sautéed mushrooms so mild but the wine cut through the blend in such a bold yet subtle way. The bread is heavenly, fresh, soft but cuts easily like a biscuit and has a thick consistency while appearing airy. Eggs cooked perfect, very mild yolks and had no eggy taste. spinach and carrots, hollandaise, everything exceptionally sourced...

With nothing to compare, LA will of course rate any French pastry place high. I spent 15 years in NYC which has decent ones every few blocks, and so many amazing ones. Forget pastries in France lol (or anywhere in Europe ;)
I WISH this place was better. Someone please open a good French patisserie! You’d rake it in!
I’ve had tarts here too, and fruit tarts, and meh. Had a coffee eclair just now and ZERO coffee flavor. And the cream/custard inside was kind of weird. And unappetizingly —- gray😶
It literally tastes like nothing. Well, choux dough. And if your only flavor in an eclair is the dough, not the icing nor custard, serious problems!
Staff is pretty clueless on the things too. Wow. So American. This would never fly in...
